1 to Day 10 - Israel - The Holy Land - See

Day
11 - Jerash - Amman Panorama - Petra
Drive
from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to the Allenby Bridge for border
crossing procedures, after which we will enter Jordan. We
will visit Jerash, "The Pompeii of the East". From
there we make our way to the Roman City with its colonnaded
streets, the ancient theatre, the baths, the hilltop Temple
of Artemis and the Arch of Triumph. From here we continue
towards Amman for a tour of the city. Following the tour,
we head to Petra for dinner and overnight.
Day
12 - Petra - Return to Allenby Bridge
After
breakfast at the hotel, we will spend the day exploring the
most fascinating site in the Middle East: the "Rose City",
capital of the Nabateans. A horseback ride will take us to
this magnificent city as we enter via the famous "Siq".
From there, continue by foot to the Red Rock City. Visit the
Treasury carved in pink stone, El Khazneh (Tomb of the Nabatean
King), the field of Tombs, the obelisks, and the altar from
where we can view the entire city. From Petra we will cross
the border to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv to our hotel or the airport
for our return flight to Canada.

Day
11 - Jordan / Amman
Drive
from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to the Allenby Bridge for border
crossing procedures, after which we will enter Jordan. Drive
to Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land and
ruins of historical sites. Continue on to Mount Nebo, where
Moses viewed the promised land. From this point we can see
the Jordan Valley, Jericho, the Dead Sea, and Jerusalem. Continuing
our drive to Amman, the capital of Jordan, we will be given
a short orientation tour. On this tour, we will see the various
landmarks of the city, ending at the hotel for dinner and
overnight.
Day
12 - Petra Visit
After
an early breakfast, we leave the hotel and travel south on
the road to Wadi Musa. Then continue on horseback to the "Siq",
from which we will proceed on foot to the Red Rose City of
Petra: the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd Century
B.C. to the 2nd Century A.D. Visit the most interesting carved
monuments, such as the Treasury, El Khazneh (a Tomb of a Nabatean
King), then the field of Tombs, obelisks, and the altar (Al
Madhbah) where we can view the whole of the Rock City. Then
back to the village of Wadi Musa and drive back to Amman for
dinner and overnight.
Day
13 - Jerash / Jerusalem & Tel Aviv
Morning
tour to Jerash and before noon drive across the border to
Jerusalem or Tel Aviv to our hotel or the airport for our
return flight to Canada.
