Day 1 – Nov 18

Evening departure from Toronto to Paris with Air France. Dinner and breakfast served on board.

Day 2 – Nov 19

Morning arrival in Paris. Transfer by motor coach to Lisieux, the city of St. Thérèse. Upon arrival, we visit the Basilica dedicated to St. Thérèse and celebrate Mass. Time for rest, dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Nov 20

Today we visit the house where young St. Thérèse lived with her family. We continue to the convent where she spent the rest of her life as a nun and where she is buried. After Mass in the convent, some free time for lunch and departure to Paris for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Nov 21

Full day in Paris. Our morning sightseeing tour of the city includes views of Eiffel Tower, Place de La Concorde, Champs-Élysées and Place Vendôme. We visit Notre-Dame Cathedral to celebrate Mass (subject to availability). Continue to the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal and tomb of St. Catherine Labouré. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Nov 22

After breakfast we depart for Mass at Saint-Joseph-des-Carmes Church where Blessed Frédéric Ozanam is buried. After Mass, some free time for lunch before we are transferred to the airport for a flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival, we meet our Holy Land guide and are transferred to the hotel in Galilee for overnight.

Day 6 – Nov 23

After breakfast we depart for Tiberias. We travel by boat on the Sea of Galilee, visit Capernaum, home of St. Peter and the site of Jesus’ preaching, on to Tabgha to see the Church of the Multiplication with its beautiful 5th century fish mosaic. We also visit the Church of the Primacy and celebrate Mass on the Mount of the Beatitudes. Continue to Cesarea Philippi, where Jesus revealed to His disciples for the first time that He indeed was The Messiah. On our way back to the hotel, we stop at the Jordan River to renew our baptismal vows. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Nov 24

This morning we ascend Mount Tabor – the Mount of the Transfiguration. Continue to Cana – the site of Jesus’ first miracle. Here we celebrate a marriage renewal ceremony. We move on to Nazareth where we celebrate Mass at the Basilica of the Annunciation and we visit Mary’s Well and St. Joseph’s Carpentry Shop. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 – Nov 25

Today we depart Galilee for Judea. En route we visit Haifa and Mt. Carmel, the “burning place” where Elijah called fire down to confound the prophets of Baal. Here we celebrate Mass in the Stella Maris monastery. Continue via Caesarea by the Sea and Ein Karem, where Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth (time permitting) to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – Nov 26

We start the day with the Stations of the Cross – Via Dolorosa. Along the way we stop at St. Ann’s Church, Pool of Bethesda, Pilate’s Judgment Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation and the Arch of Ecce Homo, the convent of the sisters of Zion, and finish in the Holy Sepulchre Church where we celebrate Mass. Continue to the Mount of Olives to visit Garden of Gethsamene, Church of All Nations, Pater Noster and Dominus Flevit churches, the Chapel of the Ascension, the Western Wall, also called the “Wailing Wall”. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Nov 27

Today we visit Bethlehem – where Jesus was born, celebrating Mass in one of the grottos. We visit the Manger, Crusaders’ Cloister, the Grotto of St. Jerome – Shepherd’s field and Milk Grotto. In the afternoon we visit Mount Zion with the Upper Room (Room of the Last Supper) the Church of St. Peter’s in Gallicantu and Dormition Abbey built on the site of the Virgin Mary’s death. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 11 – Nov 28

After breakfast we leave for a full day excursion to Masada, the Dead Sea and Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947. Time for floating in the Dead Sea before moving to Jericho, the oldest continuously settled town in the world, dating back 11,000 years. We celebrate Mass here. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 – Nov 29

An early morning transfer to Tel Aviv airport for a flight via Amsterdam to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.
