Day 1 – May 29

Evening departure from Toronto to Munich.

Day 2 – May 30

Morning arrival in Munich. Transfer to Oberammergau or its surrounding for special accommodation and dinner.

Day 3 – May 31

This morning we have some free time to enjoy picturesque village of Oberammergau. In the afternoon and evening we participate in the Passion Play performed every 10 years in this small town. This wonderful spectacle of pageantry takes place indoors and outdoors where the sky and mountains are the back drop, world renown for the costumes and music presentation, performed by more than 2,000 citizens. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – June 1

Today we travel to Prague, the capital of Czech Republic, the “Golden City”. En route we stop in Altötting, a small Bavarian town famous for the Chapel of Grace, one of the most-visited shrines in Germany. After Mass we continue to Prague for dinner and overnight

Day 5 – June 2

This morning we visit Karlštejn Castle, founded in 1348 by the Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor. We tour the spectacular interior, chamber rooms and breathtaking Chapel of the Holy Cross. Afternoon we celebrate Mass in Church of Our Lady of Victory and see the renowned statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – June 3

Full day in beautiful Prague We visit the Castle District with St. Vitus Cathedral and St. George’s Basilica. Continue to the Old Town by the way of Golden Lane and then go to the Lesser Town to see the medieval Charles Bridge. We also see St. Nikolas Church, the Astronomic Clock, Wenceslas Square and ancient Jewish quarter. In the afternoon some free time for shopping and rest, dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – June 4

This morning we travel to Budapest, capital city of Hungary. En route we stop in Velehrad, a major pilgrimage destination in Moravia, where we celebrate Mass in the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Ss Cyril and Methodius. Continue to Budapest for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 – June 5

Our sightseeing tour of Budapest starts with a view of the 13th century Matthias Church, the Citadel on Mt. Gellert, the Royal Castle, the Parliament, Hero’s Square and the St. Stephen Basilica. Afternoon some free time for leisure. Evening cruise on Danube river, dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – June 6

This morning we travel to Zakopane, Poland’s “winter capital”. Upon arrival our tour of the resort includes walk along famous Krupowki Street and old part of the town with wooden houses in Zakopane’s architecture style, funicular train ride to Gubalowka Hill to admire the panorama of Tatras, visit Wooden Church and Old Cemetery. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – June 7

Today depart for Krakow. En route we embark on a raft ridedown a mountain river on a wooden boat through breathtaking Dunajec River Gorge and Pieniny Mountains. Continue to Wieliczka where we visit the world-famous salt mines. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 11 – June 8

After breakfast we travel to Czestochowa – the site of Poland’s greatest shrine – Our Lady of Czestochowa, also known as the “Black Madonna”. We celebrate Mass and venerate the priceless and miraculous icon. Continue to Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi concentration camp. We visit a cell in which St. Maximilian Kolbe died and also the Martydom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust. Return to Krakow for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 – June 9

Today we visit Lagiewniki – world known as “Divine Mercy Shrine”. This is where St. Faustina had had numerous visions of Christ, who told her to keep a diary of their encounters, during which he spoke to her of the Divine Mercy. We celebrate Mass at the sanctuary and visit the convent of St. Faustina, her tomb and relics. After lunch we embark on a tour of Krakow, the old capital of Poland. We visit the Market Square where we hear the silver trumpet of the bugler from the tower of St. Mary’s Church. We discover Town Hall Tower, the Cloth Hall and most of all the Wawel Royal Castle and the cathedral. Some free time for leisure or last minute shopping. Dinner and overnight.

Day 13 – June 10

After breakfast we are transferred to the airport for a flight back to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.
