Day 1 – Oct. 17

Evening departure from Toronto via Paris to Barcelona.

Day 2 – Oct. 18

Noon arrival in Barcelona. Upon arrival we are transferred to the cruise terminal and board our cruise ship. Dinner on board.

Day 3 – Oct. 19

Today we visit Palma de Mallorca, main city of enchanting island of Mallorca. We view the massive 13th century Santa María cathedral, the adjacent Almudaina, Moorish-style Arab fortress converted to a royal residence, hilltop Bellver Castle and George Sand and Frederic Chopin Museum. Return to our ship for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Oct. 20

This morning our ship arrives in Marseille. We embark on a day tour of nearby Aix-en-Provence which includes Cours Mirabeau, the Cathedral of the Holy Saviour, the archbishop’s palace (Palais de l’Archêveché) and a Romanesque cloister. Return to our ship for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Oct. 21

Today we arrive in La Spezia in Italy. On our day-tour we visit picturesque villages of Cinque Terre, built on terraces right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Return to our ship for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Oct. 22

Morning arrival in Civitavecchia, port for Rome. Our tour of Rome includes the St Peter’s Basilica, St. John of Lateran and the views of the Coliseum and Forum Romanum. For those passengers who have already been to Rome some free time for a walking tour and shopping. Return to our ship for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Oct. 23

Today we arrive in Naples. Our day tour will take us on a drive through the beautiful Amalfi Coast, including breath-taking vistas, Belvedere viewpoint and charming Ravello. Return to our ship for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 – Oct. 24

Full day at the sea. Time for rest, leisure, enjoying another warm day and enjoying numerous activities on the cruise ship.

Day 9 – Oct. 25

This morning we arrive in Barcelona and disembark our cruise ship. We travel by our motor coach to Valencia. Upon arrival we visit the Cathedral – Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady to see the Holy Grail – a chalice used by Jesus during the Last Supper. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Oct. 26

After breakfast we travel to Montserrat and visit enchanting Benedictine monastery and the Black Madonna of Montserrat. Continue to Barcelona for dinner and overnight.

Day 11 – Oct. 27

Full day in Barcelona. Our tour of Barcelona features the Columbus Monument, elegant tree lined “Ramblas” and Plaza Catalonia, Paseo de Gracia and the famous church of Sagrada Familia. Afternoon some free time for leisure. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 – Oct. 28

After breakfast we are transferred to the airport for a flight via Amsterdam to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.
