Day 1 – May 26

Afternoon departure from Toronto via Paris to Tel Aviv.

Day 2 – May 27

Afternoon arrival in Tel Aviv. Upon meeting our guide we are transferred to our hotel in Galilee. Time for rest, dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – May 28

After breakfast we depart for Tiberias. We travel by boat on the Sea of Galilee, visit Capernaum, home of St. Peter and the site of Jesus’ preaching, on to Tabgha to see the Church of the Multiplication with its beautiful 5th century fish mosaic. We also visit the Church of the Primacy and celebrate Mass on the Mount of the Beatitudes. Continue to Ceasarea Philippi, where Jesus revealed to His disciples for the first time that He was indeed Messiah. On our way back to the hotel we stop at the Jordan River where Jesus was baptized. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – May 29

This morning we start our tour in Cana – the site of Jesus’ first miracle. Here we celebrate a marriage renewal ceremony. We move on to Nazareth where we celebrate Mass at the Basilica of the Annunciation and we visit Mary’s Well and St. Joseph’s Carpentry Shop. In the afternoon we ascend Mount Tabor – the Mount of the Transfiguration. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – May 30

This morning we depart Galilee for Judea and the area of Jerusalem. En route we visit Haifa and Mt. Carmel, the “burning place” where Elijah called fire down to confound the prophets of Baal. Here we celebrate Mass. We continue via Ceasarea by the Sea to Judea for our dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – May 31

Today’s journey takes us to the ancient city of Jerusalem: St. Ann’s Church, Pool of Bethesda, Pilate’s Judgment Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation and the Arch of Ecce Homo, the convent of the sisters of Zion. We continue with the Stations of the Cross – Via Dolorosa to the Holy Sepulchre. Mass will be celebrated in one of the many churches of Jerusalem. In the afternoon we visit the Western Wall, also called the “Wailing Wall”. We see the place of the Mosque of Omar and El Aksar and move on to the Church of Pater Noster and the Garden of Gethsemane.

Day 7 – June 1

This morning we leave for a full day excursion to Masada, the Dead Sea, Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947, and Jericho. Time for swimming before our return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 – June 2

Today we visit Bethlehem – where Jesus was born, celebrating Christmas Mass in one of the grottos. We visit the Manger, the Crusaders’ Cloister and the Grotto of St. Jerome – Shepherd’s field. In the afternoon we continue our visit of Jerusalem’s Mount Zion with the Upper Room (Room of the Last Supper) and the Church of St. Peter’s in Gallicantu. After farewell dinner in Jaffa we are transferred to the airport for a flight to Paris.

Day 9 – June 3

Morning arrival in Paris. We are transferred to our hotel in Mont St. Michel. En route we visit Chartres Cathedral, magnificent example of Gothic and Romanesque styles. Upon arrival in our hotel some free time to relax. Mass, dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – June 4

This morning we visit the island of Mont St. Michel on a tour of ancient strategic fortifications, the monastery and mediaeval buildings. After lunch we travel to Normandy beaches on the 75th anniversary of the D-Day commemorating Canadian landing on Juno beach. Continue to Lisieux, the city of St. Thérèse, “The Little Flower”. Mass, dinner and overnight.

Day 11 – June 5

Today we visit the Basilica dedicated to St. Thérèse and celebrate Mass there. Afternoon we travel to picturesque town of Hofleur where we visit 15th-century St. Catherine’s Church. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 – June 6

After breakfast we leave for Paris. En route we stop in Rouen, its skyline dominated by the spires of magnificent Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral. Continue to Paris for dinner and overnight.

Day 13 – June 7

Full day in Paris. Our city tour will take us to views of Eiffel Tower, Place de La Concorde and Champs-Élysées. We visit Notre Dame Cathedral and Miraculous Medal chapel where we celebrate Mass. Some free time for leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Day 14 – June 8

After breakfast we are transferred to the airport for a flight to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.
