Day 3 – Tuesday
Arrive in Tel Aviv at 10:10am where our tour guide will meet you. We start by traveling to Jaffa, which affords us a breathtaking view of the city of Tel Aviv. At this picturesque port city of winding alleys, art galleries and crafts boutiques, King Solomon had the cedars of Lebanon rafted for the building of the First Temple in Jerusalem. It was from Jaffa that the Prophet Jonah embarked for his fateful encounter with a whale (Jonah 1:3). You will view the spot of the House of Simon the Tanner (Acts 10:6). After this tour we go to our hotel for check-in and the balance of the day is at leisure to enjoy Tel Aviv.
Dinner and overnight at the Metropolitan Hotel, Tel Aviv
CAESAREA / MEGIDDO / NAZARETH
Day 4 – Wednesday
We drive north along the Plain of Sharon, the Mediterranean and the old coastal road- the Via Maris that linked Egypt and Babylon as we journey towards Galilee. We stop at Caesarea the incredible fortress city built by King Herod the Great. Here, Pontius Pilate had his base; where Cornelius lived and was baptized (Acts 10); where Paul embarked to Tarsus (Acts 9:30) and where Philip preached (Acts 8:40). Visit the Roman Theatre, the Hippodrome, and the Crusader City. We turn inland and proceed to Megiddo, one of King Solomon’s walled fortified cities (1 Kings 9:15; 10:26), with ruins of 20 levels of civilization. From here the Books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we read about the final Battle of Armageddon, while viewing the Plains of Jezreel. Drive to Nazareth and visit Nazareth Village, depicting a village from the time of Jesus. Continue to Mt. Precipice. The mountain rises 397 meters above sea level and received its informal name due to the belief it was the location of the rejection of Jesus, as described in the Gospel of Luke. Continue to Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee.
Dinner and overnight at Lake House Hotel, Tiberias
GALILEE / GOLAN HEIGHTS
Day 5 – Thursday

Continue to Banias, one of the sources of the Jordan River and the site of ancient “Caesarea Philipi”, where Peter made the confession of faith in Christ (Matt; 16:16). Drive up the Golan Heights to The Nimrod Fortress. It is the biggest Crusader-era castle in all of Israel, a mountain-top stronghold spanning back to the 13th century with megalithic foundation stones hinting at more ancient origins. With views of much of the Golan, the Nimrod Fortress is situated on a peak neighboring Israel’s highest and only snow-capped mountain, Mount Hermon. Below the fortress are the lush Banias forests with the rivers and waterfalls. The ruins of Nimrod Fortress are beautiful and well-preserved, a truly visible snapshot of history.
Drive through the Golan Heights before returning to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at Lake House Hotel, Tiberias.

PETRA / WADI RUM
Day 8 – Sunday
Petra is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site that enchants visitors from all corners of the globe. Much of Petra's appeal comes from its spectacular setting deep inside a narrow desert gorge. The site is accessed by walking through a kilometer-long chasm (or siq), the walls of which soar 200m upwards. Petra's most famous monument, the Treasury, appears dramatically at the end of the Siq. Used in the final sequence of the film "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." The towering façade of the Treasury is only one of the myriad archaeological wonders to be explored at Petra. Various walks and climbs reveal literally hundreds of buildings, tombs, baths, funerary halls, temples, arched gateways, colonnaded streets and haunting rock drawings - as well as a 3,000 seat open-air theatre, a gigantic 1st-century Monastery, and a modern archeological museum, all of which can be explored at leisure. Continue our drive south to Wadi Rum. On arrival we will have a 2-hour jeep tour in the landscape looking like the planet Mars. One of the most beautiful terrains anywhere in the world where so many movies have been filmed including Lawrence of Arabia.
