WELCOME TO ISRAEL
10am Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport and meet your guide. Travel north, stop to visit Caesarea Maritima – the Roman capital, built by King Herod the Great, boasting the largest port in the Mediterranean. Here Pontius Pilate had his seat; Cornelius lived and was baptized (Acts 10); Paul embarked to Tarsus (Acts 9:30) and Philip preached (Acts 8:40). Tour to include the new port exhibit. Continue to your hotel on the Mediterranean Sea remainder of the day is at leisure. Join Pastor Matheson on the beach for sunset. 1 night: Leonardo Plaza hotel ~ Haifa [Dinner]
Drive along the Jezreel Valley, view the summit of Mt Carmel, called Muhraka or the burned place, where Elijah challenged the false prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:30). Then continue to Megiddo, one of King Solomon’s fortified city kingdoms (1 Kings 9:15; 10:26), with 25 levels impressive layered ruins of civilization. From here the Books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive, as you read about the final Battle at Armageddon. Proceed to Nazareth, the boyhood town of Jesus, visit Nazareth Village to relive life from the time of Jesus and view the Church of the Annunciation. Continue to Mt. Stop at Kursi, to visit a fine ancient Byzantine Monastery, marking the site of the miracle of the Demonic man and herd of swine. Sail on the Sea of Galilee, from the “other side,” with time for meditation and prayer. Visit the famous ancient fishing vessel from the time of Jesus and learn about its discovery. Visit sites central to Jesus’ Ministry – starting at Kfar Nahum, Capernaum, centre of Jesus’ Ministry in the Galilee and the site of many of his miracles (Mark 2:4; Matt.8:5; 14-7; 9; 1-7; 17: 18). See the remains of St Peter’s house and the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught and worshipped (Mark 1:21; Luke 4:31). Proceed to the Church of the Primacy of Peter in Tabgha. Stop on the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered “The Sermon on the Mount” (Matt.5). Continue to Chorazin, one of the three villages Jesus prophesied over, for not accepting his teaching. Stop at Magdala, the village of Mary Magdalene, where you visit the new archeological discovery and the very synagogue that Mary Magdalene would have worshipped in. [Breakfast/dinner]
GALILEE / GOLAN
Drive onto the Golan Heights and stop at the memorial in the Valley of Tears to pay tribute to the handful of Israeli soldiers who kept the Syrian army at bay in one of the largest tank battles in the1973 Yom Kippur War. View Kunietra a Syrian command post during the 6 Day war (1967). Then continue to Kalat Nimrod to visit a fascinating fortress that changed hands many times and for many hundreds of years guarded the route to Damascus. Travel down the mountain to visit Banias, one of the sources of the Jordan River, site of ancient “Caesarea Philippi” where Peter made his confession of faith in Christ (Matt. 16:16). Time permitting stop to view the iron age and Bronze age gates at Dan of Abraham’s fame (Genesis 14:14). [Breakfast/dinner]
Travel south along the Jordan Valley to the Sheikh Hussein Bridge and cross into Jordan. Travel through Perea of Jesus’ day and the mountains of Gilead, to Jerash, visit the impressive ruins of the Roman city. Continue to Madaba to study the unique, ancient, Byzantine mosaic map of the world. Emulating the children of Israel and Moses, stop on Mt. Nebo for a glimpse of the Promised Land. Get an early start, walking and riding into the centre of the ancient Nabatean capital, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Enjoy the splendor of the “sik” a unique gorge culminating with the first glimpse of the Hezna (Treasury), one of the many magnificent Mausoleums. See the stunning charm of the extensive Necropolis and the colourful hues of the sandstone. ARAVA, NEGEV AND DEAD SEA
Travel through the Arava wilderness to Kibbutz Keturah where you stop to visit Methuselah, a remarkable date palm tree. Drive through the Negev wilderness to Machtesh Ramon – stop for a wonderful view of the world’s largest erosion crater and tour the visitors Centre. Continue North to Avdat, to visit the impressive Nabatean ruins. Continue via the Judean desert to the Dead Sea 1 night: Hod hotel & spa ~ Dead Sea [Breakfast & dinner]
DEAD SEA TO JERUSALEM
Spend part of the morning at the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth (417 meter below sea level); enjoy the spa facilities and the unique experience ~ “float” in the Dead Sea, you cannot sink! Visit Masada – ruins of King Herod’s remote, looming mountaintop fortress, later the last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against the Romans in 73 (ACE), ascend and descend by cable car. Stop at Qasr El Yahud where John baptised Jesus. Then ascend through the Judean Desert and stop at Genesis Land, where you ride camels to Abraham’s tent and experience Biblical hospitality. Continue through the wilderness to the Holy City. Enter Jerusalem as Jesus did via Mt. Scopus where you stop to recite a Psalm of ascent and enjoy your first view of the Holy City and the Temple Mt. 4 nights: Prima Kings hotel Jerusalem [Breakfast & dinner]
Pay respect to the victims of the Shoah at Yad Vashem, National Memorial and Museum of the Holocaust. Visit the Model of Jerusalem, to learn about the city from the time of Jesus and visit the adjacent Shrine of the Book, home of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Explore King David’s City including: – Warren’s shaft; the Canaanite tunnel (dry) – circumstances and weather permitting walk through Hezekiah’s tunnel (wet); and the pool of Siloam. Continue to the Jerusalem Archaeological Park (Southern Wall Excavations) including the very same ancient steps that Jesus and the Galilean pilgrims used to enter and exit the Holy Temple. Stop at the Western Wall (Kotel), an important Jewish prayer and pilgrimage site. Then walk back in time under the city through Western Wall Tunnels (Excavations). Travel to Bethlehem birth place of Christ, visit Shepherds Field and shop at an Olive wood factory. [Breakfast & dinner]
View the Temple Mt from the Mt of Olives, then follow in the footsteps of Jesus and the Galileans, walk down the mount via Dominus Flevit to visit the Olive garden adjacent to Gethsemane – the Church of All Nations. Get a close up view of some unique ancient tombs in the Kidron Valley. Enter the Old City and stop at the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed the paralytic man. Continue through the Suk, the colourful market and stop at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Enjoy a walk through the ancient alleyways of the Old City and exit via Zion Gate. Visit the Church of the Last Supper and the church of St Peter in Gallicantu, site of Peter’s denial of the Lord Jesus. End the day at the Garden Tomb, remember the resurrection, with communion. JERUSALEM & TEL AVIV
Spend the morning at leisure in Jerusalem, revisit places of interest, with time for last minute shopping. After noon (12:30pm) travel to Tel Aviv ~ the hill of Spring. Tel Aviv is a modern high paced city, with a sense of constant renewal and the financial capital of Israel. It’s an internationally recognised, world centre of Bauhaus architecture and the diversity of the modern city is breathtaking. The tour will include: – Rabin square; a bus tour of Tel Aviv’s famed Bauhaus architecture; A stroll through the unique ancient alleyways of Old Jaffa, with a spectacular view of the port that Jonah embarked from. Round the visit up bathing in the Mediterranean Sea, and before returning to Jerusalem enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, with excellent Mediterranean fare. [Breakfast & dinner]
RETURN TO CANADA
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. Leave Tel Aviv for Toronto at 11:50am on the direct, non-stop AIR CANADA flight, arriving in Toronto at 4:25pm. Meals served on board.

What is the deadline for registration?
There is no deadline. We accept registration on a “first-come-first serve” basis. There is always a limited number of spaces available and as soon as we sell them – the group is completed. To avoid disappointment please register as soon as you decide.
When is the final payment?
Usually it is 60 days before departure, but there are some exceptions for non-standard tours. Your invoice will indicate clearly when your payments are due.
What happens with my deposit when you cancel a group?
In a very unlike situation when we have to cancel a group for reasons out of our control, your deposit is protected and fully refundable. When you cancel on your own please make sure that your non-refundable deposit is protected by your own insurance.
Can I request a specific seat on a flight?
For the group reservations the airlines don't give us an option of selecting specific seats. When your ticket is issued your seat is guaranteed, but usually not printed on the e-ticket. However, you can always check-in online 24 hours before departure and change your seat based on availability.
Tell me which hotels we will be staying?
We always book best, first-class hotels. We frequently check them for best quality. Hotels are confirmed about two months before departure and we will give you all details in the final itinerary
I'm traveling alone & don't have a roommate. What should I do?
Please register ASAP. We will take a note of your request and will try to match you with another passenger willing to share. Other options are single room (with a supplement) or forming a triple room if you know another two people willing to share.
I have several food allergies. Can I request a special menu?
Please let us know about your food restrictions. We will order special meals for your flights, if available. All breakfasts and some dinners at the destinations are buffets, so you can select food by yourself. The restaurants at the destinations will do their best to offer you individual alternate to standard set menus for the group. You will need to communicate your needs through tour leaders.
What is eTA? Does it apply to me?
If you are Canadian or US citizen – no need to worry. It applies to citizens of other countries. They will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada. Be prepared: Apply for an eTA before you book your flight to Canada. Most applicants get approved within minutes.
