Day 1 - Monday
Departure from Calgary to Toronto on Air Canada departing at 6:20am and arriving in Toronto at 1205pm at Terminal 1. Connecting to Air Canada departing Toronto at 4:50pm and flying non-stop to Tel Aviv.
Day 2 - Tuesday
Arrive in Tel Aviv at 10:15am where we will be met by our tour guide and driver. We start by touring Old Jaffa, which affords us a breathtaking view of the city of Tel Aviv. At this picturesque port city of winding alleys, art galleries and crafts boutiques, King Solomon had the cedars of Lebanon rafted for the building of the First Temple in Jerusalem. You will view the spot of the House of Simon the Tanner. We transfer to our hotel for check-in with the balance of the day will be at leisure. Walk along the Mediterranean promenade to see the sunset. Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv at the Dan Panorama Hotel.
JAFFA/ TEL AVIV
Day3 - Wednesday
Continue our city tour of Tel Aviv visiting Independence Hall where Israel’s first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion fervently proclaimed Israel’s independence in 1948. Continue to the Hagana Museum for a virtual tour of the history of Israel’s pre-army museum. We then have a great discovery of Tel Aviv as we drive through the main streets of this city known as the “White City”. Tel Aviv has been proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its splendid Bauhaus Architecture and has the largest number of buildings in the unique style of any city in the world! Continue past the Mann Auditorium, home of the Israeli Philharmonic, Habimah Theatre, the impressive Opera House and Yitzhak Rabin Square, dedicated to the late Prime Minister. The balance of the day in Tel Aviv is free to shop or go to the Carmel Market the largest outdoor market in Israel. Dinner and overnight at the Dan Panorama Hotel
CAESAREA / MT CARMEL / NAZARET
Day 4 - Thursday
Following our breakfast, we drive north along the Plain of Sharon, the Mediterranean and the old coastal road- the Via Maris which linked Egypt and Babylon as we journey towards Galilee. We stop at Caesarea the incredible fortress city built by King Herod the Great. Here, Pontius Pilate had his base; where Cornelius lived and was baptized (Acts 10); where Paul embarked to Tarsus (Acts 9:30) and where Philip preached (Acts 8:40). Visit the Roman Theatre, the Hippodrome, the Crusader City. We then travel north towards Mt. Carmel the site where the prophet Elijah challenged the 400 false prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:30). Continue to Nazareth and visit Nazareth Village. A recreated ancient Galilean Village that enables you to “touch the past.” We will have lunch at the village. Stand atop Mt. Precipice in Nazareth for a view of the Valley of Armageddon. Dinner and overnight at Nof Ginossar on the Sea of Galilee.
JESUS MINISTRY IN THE GALILEE
Day 5 - Friday
After breakfast, we will depart our day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Drive to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ Galilean ministry and the site of many of his miracles. We will see the remains of Peter’s house and the synagogue site where Jesus taught and worshipped. Drive to Tabgha and visit the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes. We will then precede to the site of the city of Magdala where there are the remains from the first century and the home of Mary Magdalena. Continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered what is perhaps the most famous sermon ever preached – “The Sermon On The Mount” (Matt.5) where we will enjoy our Sunday Worship Service. Drive to the Golan Heights and have a panoramic view of the corner of Israel, Syria and Jordantofrom Mt. Bental. Continue to the Banias, one of the sources of the Jordan River and the site of ancient “Caesarea Philipi”, where Peter made the confession of faith in Christ (Matt; 16:16). Continue to Tel Dan to see the ruins from Abraham’s time and the Dan Spring which is a source of the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight at Nof Ginossar on the Sea of Galilee.
SEPPHORIS / NAZARETH / MEGIDDO
Day 6 - Saturday
Start the day at Yardenit, the Baptismal Center on the Jordan River. Drive to Sepphoris which was known as the Jewel of the Galilee and one of the capital cities of the Galilee. One of the dramatic findings is the Roman villa with a gorgeous mosaic on its floor in a banquet hall. We turn inland and proceed to Megiddo, one of King Solomon’s walled fortified cities (1 Kings 9:15; 10:26), with ruins of 20 levels of civilization. From here the Books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we read about the final Battle of Armageddon, while viewing the Plains of Jezreel. We continue to Beit Shean, where we will walk through the incredible excavations of the largest ongoing archaeological dig in the land of Israel with its Roman theatre, colonnaded Roman streets, mosaics and Roman bathhouses. It is also the city where the body of King Saul and his sons where nailed to the walls by the Philistines (1 Samuel 31:10). We then drive through the lush Jordan Valley, where the desert now blooms with flowers and vegetation of every description (Isaiah 35:1-2). Ascend up the Judean Wilderness to the Golden City of Jerusalem.

OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM / HERODI
Day 7 - Sunday
We will drive to the top of the Mount of Olives, for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Drive across the Kidron Valley to Mt Zion to visit the traditional site of the Upper Room (Room of the Last Supper). We walk to the Zion Gate and enter the Old City of Jerusalem to the Jewish Quarter. Walk along the Roman/Byzantine Street called the “Cardo”. Visit the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest spot. View the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque on top of the Temple Mount. We continue our walk along the Via Dolorosa to visit the Pools of Bethesda. We pass through the colourful bazaars to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for a brief visit. Drive south of Jerusalem to Herodian the palace fortress built by King Herod and his burial site. It overlooks the magnificent scenery of the Judean Wilderness. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem at the Dan Panorama Hotel
Day 8 - Monday
Start the day by entering the Dung Gate of the Old City and visit the Davidson Centre and visit the archaeological park around the Temple Mount. Visit the Rabbinical Tunnel along the Western Wall. Visit the newly opened City of David excavations and the Pool of Siloam and Hezekiah’s Tunnel. Drive to Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the Holocaust commemorating the six million Jews who perished. Visit the newly opened Museum and the Children’s Memorial. Continue to the Israel Museum and visit the Shrine of the Book housing the Dead Sea Scrolls. Visit the Model of Jerusalem from the Second Temple Period as it looked from the time of Jesus. Finish the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb or Gordon’s Calvary. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem at the Dan Panorama Hotel.
QUMRAN / EIN GEDI / MASADA / D
Day 9 - Tuesday
Drive to the lowest point on earth to the Dead Sea. We stop at Qumran, where a shepherd boy discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 in a cave. These scrolls are the oldest scriptures of the Bible ever found. You will see the where the Essenes who wrote these scrolls lived and wrote these scrolls. Drive to Ein Gedi a natural oasis and hike to the waterfalls in the desert. Continue south to Masada. Ascend by cable car to the summit of this fortress built by King Herod the Great and the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots. You will visit the palaces, bathhouses, swimming pool, and the oldest synagogue in the world on this mount. Continue to the shores of the Dead Sea where you will have time to take a float in the saltiest body of water in world. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem at the Dan Panorama Hotel
TORONTO / CALGARY
Day 10 - Wednesday
Transfer to the airport for our non-stop Air Canada flight departing Tel Aviv at 11:55am and arriving in Toronto at 5:00pm. After passing through Canada Customs connect to our Air Canada flight departing Toronto at 8:00pm and arriving in Calgary at 10:19pm
