Day 1 – Monday
Depart from Toronto to Tel Aviv flying non-stop on Air Canada departing at 4:35pm from Terminal #1.
TEL AVIV / JERUSALEM
Day 2 -- Tuesday
Arrive in Tel Aviv at 10:00am where we meet our tour guide and driver who will take us to Jerusalem to our hotel. On the way to Jerusalem we will stop in the lovely town of Abu Gosh for lunch. The balance of the day will be at leisure to catch up on jet lag. After dinner an evening meeting with the group. Dinner and overnight at outside of Jerusalem at Yad Hashmona
Day 3 – Wednesday
We start the day at the top of the Mt. of Olives, for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Tracing the footsteps of Jesus, we will stroll down the Palm Sunday Route on the Mount of Olives to the Dominus Flevit the spot where Jesus wept over the foreseeable destruction of Jerusalem for teachings. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane. Continue to Mt Zion to visit the traditional site of the Upper Room (Room of the Last Supper) and King David’s Tomb. Visit St. Peter’s of Gallicantu which is over the House of Caiphas for teachings. Finish the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb or Gordon’s Calvary for a communion service before returning to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Yad Hashmona
JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM
Day 4 — Thursday
We start the day visiting the newly excavated City of David including the Pool of Siloam and Hezekiah Tunnel. Visit the Davidson Centre and visit the archaeological park of the excavations along the Western and Southern walls of the Temple Mount of Jerusalem. Visit the Temple Mount for a view of the mount and the Dome of the Rock. Visit the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest spot and visit the tunnels to see the excavations from the time of the Second Temple period. Visit the Western Wall Tunnels and visit the excavations from the time of the Second Temple. We finish the day in Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus and the oldest church in the world and the field of Boaz and Ruth. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight at the Yad Hashmona
Day 5 – Friday
After breakfast drive to the Valley of Elah the place of the battle between David and Goliath. Return to Jerusalem and drive to Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the Holocaust commemorating the six million Jews who perished. Visit and walk through the newly opened Museum, visit the Children’s Memorial, walk along the Avenue of the Righteous Gentiles for those who risked their lives to save Jewish lives. In the afternoon in Jerusalem to shop, relax or visit the many museums that Jerusalem has to offer. Dinner and overnight at Yad Hashmona.
JORDAN RIVER / QUMRAN / DEAD S
Day 6 — Saturday
Depart Jerusalem and drive to the Jordan River to the Baptismal site (Qasr El-Yahud) for those who want to be baptized in the Jordan River. Drive to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. We will stop at Qumran for a visit where a young shepherd boy discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 in the cave, which you will see. These scrolls are the oldest scriptures of the Bible ever found. Drive south to Ein Bokek and check in to our hotel in the early afternoon. Balance of the day to enjoy a float in the Dead Sea or use the spa facilities of the hotel. MASADA / EIN GEDI
Day 7 — Sunday
Drive to beautiful oasis of Ein Gedi nature reserve to see the waterfalls in the desert with teachings. Continue south to Masada. You will take a cable car to the summit of this magnificent fortress built by King Herod the Great and the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots. You will walk around this historic ruins you will see the palaces, bath houses, swimming pool, the oldest synagogue in the world on this mountain in the middle of the desert. We will have teachings at the site. After descending this mountain by cable car we dive back to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the David Hotel, Dead Sea.
ROAD TO THE GALILEE
Day 8 -- Monday
We depart this morning to make our way north to the Galilee. Drive along the lush Jordan Valley, where the desert now blooms with flowers and vegetation of every description (Isaiah 35:1-2) and view Jericho and the Mt. of Temptation. We continue north to Beit Shean, where we will walk through the incredible excavations of the largest ongoing archaeological dig in the land of Israel with its Roman theatre, colonnaded Roman streets, mosaics and Roman bathhouses. It is also the city where the body of King Saul and his sons where nailed to the walls by the Philistines (1 Samuel 31:10). We continue to Nazareth and visit Nazareth Village depicting a village from the time of Jesus. We drive to the Sea of Galilee past Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed his first miracle changing water into wine. Dinner and overnight at the Kinar Hotel on the Sea of Galilee.
JESUS’ MINISTRY IN THE GALILEE
Day 9 – Tuesday
After breakfast, we will depart our day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee to Kibbutz Ginossar where we view an ancient boat from the time of Jesus that was discovered in the Sea of Galilee. Continue to Capernaum, the centre of Jesus’ Galilean ministry and the site of many of his miracles (Mark 2:4; Matt.8:5; 14-7; 9; 1-7; 17:18). We will see the remains of Peter’s house and the synagogue site where Jesus taught and worshipped (Mark 1:21; Luke 4:31). Drive to Tabgha and visit the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes and the Primacy of Peter the site where Jesus is believed to have reinstated Peter as the head of the Apostles. This was the third time that Jesus had appeared to his disciples. We will have teachings here. Continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered what is perhaps the most famous sermon ever preached – “The Sermon On The Mount”(Matt.5) and we will have teachings here. Visit Magdala the home town of Mary Magdalena. Visit the oldest synagogue excavated in Galilee, and one of seven first century synagogues in Israel. One of the most significant recent archaeological finds in the Holy Land, the Magdala Stone holds clues that will help scholars establish a more complete picture of first century Judaism. The Magdala Stone is likely the earliest known artistic depiction of the Second Temple.

MEGIDDO / MT CARMEL / CAESAREA
Day 10 -- Wednesday
This morning we drive to Megiddo, one of King Solomon’s walled fortified cities (1 Kings 9:15; 10:26), with ruins of 20 levels of civilization. From here the Books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we read about the final Battle of Armageddon, while viewing the Plains of Jezreel. We then travel west towards Haifa and ascend Mt. Carmel the site where the prophet Elijah fought the 400 false prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:30) at Muchraka. Drive south to Caesarea the incredible fortress city built by King Herod the Great. Here, Pontius Pilate had his base; where Cornelius lived and was baptized (Acts 10); where Paul embarked to Tarsus (Acts 9:30) and where Philip preached (Acts 8:40). Visit the Roman Theatre, the Hippodrome, and the Crusader City. Continue south along the Plains of Sharon to Tel Aviv/Jaffa. Dinner and overnight at Metropolitan Hotel, Tel Aviv
Day 11 – Thursday
Depart Tel Aviv at 11:45am on Air Canada flying non-stop to Toronto. Arriving in Toronto at 4:25pm at Terminal 1.

Documentation: Please ensure that you are in possession of a Canadian Passport valid for at least 6 months after your arrival in Israel. If you have a passport from another country, it is your responsibility to inquire at the Israeli Consulate if a Visa is required.
Payments: International Heritage Tours requires a deposit of $300 per person immediately, which is refundable 90 days before departure (May 14, 2023) less $150 administration fee. Less than 90 days before departure the deposit is 100% non-refundable. A full non-refundable payment is due 60 days before departure (June 14, 2023).
