Meet at 3:40am in the departure hall, Kelowna airport to check in for the Air Canada 6am flight # AC8267 to Vancouver arriving at 7:05am. 8am continue on flight AC 104 to Toronto. Arriving in Toronto at 3:23pm. Leave Toronto at 4:45pm on your overnight, nonstop direct Air Canada flight # AC80 destination Israel, meals served on board.
WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Day 2 ~ Friday
10:15am Arrive at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport and meet your tour guide. Drive north through the Plain of Sharon along the Mediterranean shore. Your introduction to the Land of Everlasting Promise starts at Caesarea. Here: King Herod built the largest port in the Mediterranean, Pontius Pilate had his seat; Cornelius lived and was baptized (Acts 10); Paul embarked to Tarsus (Acts 9:30) and Philip preached (Acts 8:40). Visit the Roman Theatre, the Hippodrome, the Port in the Crusader City and the ancient aqueducts. Continue to your hotel, the remainder of the day is at leisure. 1night: Golden Crown hotel ~ Haifa [Dinner]
Day 3 ~ Saturday
View Muhraka (the burned place) on Mt. Carmel where the prophet Elijah challenged the 400 false prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:30). Travel in the Jezreel Valley to Megiddo, to visit one of King Solomon’s fortified city kingdoms (1 Kings 9:15; 10:26), with 20 impressive levels of civilization. From here the Books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as you read about the final Battle of Armageddon, while viewing the fertile plains of the Jezreel. Proceed via Mt Precipice to Nazareth, the boyhood town of Jesus and visit Nazareth Village, where one relives life from the time of Jesus. View the Church of the Annunciation then travel to Yardenit for Baptism in the Jordan River. Stop at Magdala, the village of Mary Magdalene, to visit the new archeological discovery and the very synagogue that Mary Magdalene would have worshipped in. 2 nights: Leonardo hotel ~ Tiberias Sea of Galilee

JESUS’ MINISTRY IN THE GALILEE
Day 4 ~ Sunday
Drive north and onto the Golan Heights on your way to visit Banias, one of the sources of the Jordan River, site of ancient “Caesarea Philippi,” the northern extent of Jesus’ ministry and where Peter made the confession of faith in Christ (Matt; 16:16). Travel south through the lush Jordan Valley to the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered “The Sermon On The Mount” (Matt.5). Proceed to Capernaum centre of Jesus’ Ministry in the Galilee and site of many of his miracles (Mark 2:4; Matt.8:5-7 & 14-15). See the remains of St Peter’s house and the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught and worshipped (Mark 1:21; Luke 4:31). Emulating the disciples sail on the Sea of Galilee then visit the ancient boat, from the time of Jesus. Time permitting stop on Mt Arbel for a splendid view of the area of Jesus’ Ministry, the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights & Mt Hermon.

GALILEE – JERUSALEM
Day 5 ~ Monday
Travel south to Beit Shean, where the body of King Saul and his sons were placed on the walls by the Philistines (1 Samuel 31:10), later known, in Jesus day, as Scythopolis, capital of Decapolis. Visit the large impressive archaeological site. Drive through the Jordan Valley, where the desert now blooms with flowers and vegetation of every description (Isaiah 35:1-2). Drive around Jericho, the oldest town in the world (which you will see from a distance), then stop at Kasr el Yahud, where John Baptised Jesus. Continue south, then along the shores of the Dead Sea to Qumran, home of the Cult of the Judean Desert, where a shepherd discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls (1947) in a nearby cave. Then ascend through the Judean Desert Wilderness and stop to view the ancient aqueduct and St George’s Monastery in Wadi Kelt. Ascend to the Holy City - golden Jerusalem. After entering Jerusalem, stop on Mt Scopus, as the Galileans did, recite a Psalm of Ascent and enjoy the first fantastic view of the Holy City. 5 nights: Jerusalem Gate hotel ~ Jerusalem

Day 6 ~ Tuesday
Start the day at Yad Vashem – national memorial and Museum of the Shoah (Holocaust), pay tribute to the six million Jewish victims of the Shoah (Holocaust) in Europe during the Second World War. Walk along the Avenue of the Righteous Amongst the Nations commemorating those who at great personal risk saved Jewish souls. Visit the Museum, Ohel Yizkor and the Children’s Memorial. Continue to the Israel Museum to visit the Shrine of the Book, home of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest Bible manuscripts and the adjacent scale model of ancient Jerusalem, describing the city from the time of Jesus. Visit Zedekiah’s Cave also known as King Solomon’s quarries. Proceed to King David’s City, your visit includes: ruins of King David’s city, the Canaanite tunnel, the Pool of Siloam and the underground route to Robinson’s Arch. Visit the South Western Archaeological Park adjacent to and under the Temple Mount, including the very same steps that Jesus and the Galileans used, to enter and exit the Holy Temple. Day 7 ~ Wednesday
Start the day on the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit Emmek Zurrim – get your hands dirty sifting through layers of dirt taken from the Temple Mt. Stop in Gethsemane at the Church of All Nations, with time for contemplation and prayer in the adjacent Olive grove. Continue along the Kidron (the Valley of Jehoshaphat), past the Tombs of Absalom, Zechariah and James. Enter the Old City at Zion Gate. Walk through the Armenian and the Jewish Quarter. Visit the ancient main street called the “Cardo” and the many “archaeological windows” into the city’s layered past, including the Broad Wall. View the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque built on the Temple Mount then stop at the Western Wall (Kotel) to visit the important Jewish prayer and pilgrimage site. Walk back in time through the Western Wall tunnels. Continue to the pools of Bethesda, then walk through the “Suk,” the colourful bazaars and alleyways and stop to see the Roman piazza under the Damascus Gate. End the day at the Garden Tomb with time for reflection, prayer and communion.

MASADA/ DEAD SEA
Day 8 ~ Thursday
Drive through the Judean desert to the lowest point on earth at the Dead Sea, over 1300 feet below sea level. Continue south to Masada. Ascend (descend) by cable car to the summit of King Herod the Great’s imposing, remote desert fortress, later the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in the revolt against Rome (73 ACE). Stop to visit Ein Gedi Oasis in the desert, where David fled the wrath of King Saul and take a short walk in David’s River to the waterfall. Proceed to Ein Gedi Spa and Dead Sea Beach to float on the Dead Sea– you cannot sink! End the day at Genesis land, where you ride camels to Abraham’s tent and enjoy biblical hospitality. Return to Jerusalem.

Day 9 ~ Friday
Spend a day of leisure in this fascinating city. With time to re-visit the Old City for shopping in the bazaars or walk through the new city along Jaffa Road and Ben Yehuda Street, Mahane Yehuda market. Visit one of the many Museums that Jerusalem has to offer (a modest entrance fee is required) or simply relax at the hotel and prepare for your late evening departure. Enjoy a farewell dinner in the hotel.

Day 10 ~ Saturday
8:15am Transfer to Ben Gurion airport for your direct nonstop Air Canada flight AC81 to Toronto. Depart Tel Aviv at 11:55am, arriving in Toronto at 4:25pm. Meals served on board. 6:30pm Continue on AC#123 flight to Vancouver arriving at 8:26pm. 9:55pm continue on flight AC#8284 to Kelowna arriving at 10:50pm
