Afternoon arrival in Tel Aviv. We meet our guide and travel to Galilee for dinner and overnight.
Tiberias - Tabgha - Cana
After breakfast we depart for Tiberias. We travel by boat on the Sea of Galilee, visit Capernaum, home of St. Peter and the site of Jesus' preaching, on to Tabgha to see the Church of the Multiplication with its beautiful 5th century fish mosaic. We also visit the Church of the Primacy and celebrate Mass on the Mount of the Beatitudes. Continue to Cana – the site of Jesus' first miracle. Here we celebrate a marriage renewal ceremony. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Nazareth - Mount Tabor - Qasr
Today we visit Nazareth where we celebrate Mass at the Basilica of the Annunciation and visit Mary's Well and St. Joseph's Carpentry Shop. Later we ascend Mount Tabor – the Mount of the Transfiguration and continue via Jordan Valley to Qasr el Yahud, where Jesus was baptized by St. John the Baptist. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.
Jerusalem - Bethlehem
In the morning we depart to Mount of Olives in Jerusalem and visit Garden of Gethsamene, Church of All Nations, Pater Noster and Dominus Flevit churches. Continue to Mount Zion with the Upper Room (Room of the Last Supper) and the Church of St. Peter's in Gallicantu. In the afternoon we visit Bethlehem – where Jesus was born, celebrating Christmas Mass in one of the churches. We visit the Manger, the Crusaders' Cloister and the Grotto of St. Jerome – Shepherd’s field. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Today's journey takes us to the ancient city of Jerusalem: St. Ann's Church, Pool of Bethesda, Pilate's Judgment Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation and the Arch of Ecce Homo, the convent of the sisters of Zion. We continue with the Stations of the Cross – Via Dolorosa to the Holy Sepulchre. Mass will be celebrated in one of the many churches of Jerusalem. In the afternoon we visit the Western Wall, also called the “Wailing Wall”. We see the place of the Mosque of Omar and El Aksar before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Bethlehem - Jerusalem
After breakfast we visit Bethlehem – where Jesus was born, celebrating Christmas Mass in one of the grottos. We visit the Manger, the Crusaders' Cloister and the Grotto of St. Jerome – Shepherd’s field. In the afternoon we continue our visit of Jerusalem's Mount Zion with the Upper Room (Room of the Last Supper) and the Church of St. Peter's in Gallicantu. Dinner and overnight.
Masada - Dead Sea - Qumran - J
Today we leave for a full day excursion to Masada, the Dead Sea, Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947, and Jericho where we celebrate Mass. Time for floating in the Dead Sea before our return to hotel for dinner and overnight
Tel Aviv - Munich - Neuschwans
Early morning we are transferred to the airport in Tel Aviv for a flight to Munich. Upon arrival we travel to Neuschwanstein and visit the fairy-tale castle of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Dinner and overnight in Fussen.
After breakfast we travel to the picturesque village of Oberammergau. In the afternoon and evening we participate in the Passion Play performed every 10 years in this small town. This wonderful spectacle of pageantry takes place indoors and outdoors where the sky and mountains are the back drop, world renown for the costumes and music presentation, performed by more than 2,000 citizens. Dinner and overnight.
Departure to Canada
This morning we travel to Augsburg, one of Germany’s oldest cities. We revel in the beauty of its center: medieval guild houses, the 11th-century St. Mary's cathedral and the onion-domed Sankt Ulrich und Afra abbey. Continue to the airport in Munich for an afternoon flight to Toronto. Evening arrival
