November 6
Departure from Canada
Afternoon departure from Toronto to Athens.
November 7
Athens
Upon arrival in Athens, the capital of Greece and the foundation of democracy we are transferred to our hotel in Athens for dinner and overnight.
November 8
Corinth, Athens
After breakfast we travel to Corinth with a short stop at the Corinth Canal. In Corinth we visit the Market Place, the Bema, and the Temples. We visit the ruins of the church of Corinth and see the pillars, steps and public worship place where St. Paul preached. Upon return to Athens we visit the Acropolis, the Parthenon, Erectheum and view Athens atop Mars Hill where St. Paul once stood. We continue to the House of Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Olympic Stadium, and Presidential Palace. Dinner and overnight in Athens.
November 9
Mykonos
This morning we start the 4-night Aegean Sea cruise. We sail to the quaint isle of Mykonos. Upon arrival free time for leisure on this charming island, dinner and overnight on the cruise ship.
November 10
Kusadasi, Turkey, Ephesus, Patmos
Today we arrive at Kusadasi in Turkey. We are transferred to Ephesus, where the first of Seven Churches was located and where St. Paul lived for some years. We enter through Magnesian Gate and discover numerous monuments such as the Forum, the Odeon, the Library of Celsus, the thermal baths of Scolastica and the Great Theater of Antiquity. We visit the house of Mary, where she was brought after the death of Christ. Continue to Patmos Island and visit the Monastery of St. John and Grotto of the Apocalypse where St. John wrote the Book of Revelation. Dinner and overnight on the cruise ship.
November 11
Rhodes
This morning we arrive on thew island of Rhodes. Our tour begins with exploration of the ancient Acropolis with the remnants of Apollo Temple and edifices of Stadium and Odium. Continue to the mediaeval town the Knights of St. John. We visit the Grand Master’s Palace with its superb collection of original mosaics from early Hellenistic to Byzantine period. Return to our ship for Mass, dinner and overnight.
November 12
Santorini
After breakfast we arrive at the volcanic island of Santorini. Free time for your own exploration before returning to the cruise ship for dinner and overnight.
November 13
Athens (disembarkation point), Kalambaka, Meteora
Upon disembarking in Athens we board a bus and travel to Kalambaka. We visit the Meteora Monasteries, the world famous Byzantine monasteries that are perched precariously on the summits of gray rock pinnacles of varied and beautiful shapes. Their history dates back to the 14th century when the monks sought refuge in the cliffside caves. Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka
November 14
Veria (ancient Berea), Thessaloniki
After breakfast we travel to Thessaloniki. En route we visit Veria (ancient Berea) and see the memorial commemorating St. Paul’s preaching. Continue to Thessaloniki, the ancient walled city, where we visit St. George’s Basilica, built over the synagogue where St. Paul preached. We also visit the beautiful basilicas of St. Sophie and St. Demetrios, dedicated to the early Christian martyrs. We than see the Arch of Galerius on the Via Egnatia where we can look over the second largest city of Greece from the Old City Ramparts, some dating back to Roman times. Dinner and overnight in Thessaloniki.
November 15
Philippi, Neapolis (modern Kavala), Thessaloniki
This morning we travel to Phillipi where we visit the Baptistry of St. Lydia, the first convert of St. Paul on European soil. Continue to the old walls and the Byzantine castle. We also view the Roman-era crypt where St. Paul was imprisoned and explore Phillipi’s famous Acropolis, Market Place, the Basilica of St. Paul and Theater. Continue to Neopolis, the site of St. Paul’s first landing in Europe. The harbor is particularly picturesque with the brightly colored fishing boats moored along the waterfront. Return to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight.
November 16
Thermopylae, Athens
After breakfast we depart to Athens. En route we visit the modern-day monument of King Leonidas I of Sparta commemorating the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. Continue to Athens for dinner and overnight.
November 17
Return to Canada
In the morning we are transferred to the airport for a flight to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.

- Greek development fee for visited Greek ports

- Between 90 and 60 days before departure - $1300 pp

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING:
A $50.00 administration charge will be applied for changes you make to your booking outside the 60 days to departure period. Please note that name changes are not allowed, and such will be treated as cancellations.
IF IHT CHANGES YOUR BOOKING:
IHT will advise you of any change we feel significantly alters the holiday which you have purchased from us. Occasionally, changes might occur close to departure time. In such cases, you will be notified as soon as possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the local tour operator may have to make last minute changes in hotel or schedule. We reserve the right to substitute any of the hotels with hotels in similar or better category. First class twin-bedded rooms with private facilities are used.
UNUSED SERVICES:
No refund or adjustment can be made for any portion of holiday not used.
GOOD VALUE AND EXPECTATIONS:
The Ministry of Consumer Relations requires that passengers traveling abroad be advised that they may encounter different living standards and practices than those at home.
FLIGHT CONNECTIONS:
IHT sells holidays from and returning to Toronto only, unless otherwise specified. In the event of a change in our flight times, with or without notice, we cannot accept responsibility for any special connecting fares which you might purchase, and which cannot be changed without penalty.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION:
A valid Canadian passport is required for all visits outside of Canada. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to ensure proper and valid documentation. Failure to provide valid documentation may result in denied boarding of the aircraft and cancellation of your flight arrangements without refund. If you are holding a passport other than Canadian, please contact IHT to determine whether or not a visa is required for entry into the country you will be visiting.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE:
One piece per person (23 kg) plus a carry-on bag (weighing not more than 5 kg)
FLIGHT TIMES:
All flight times are subject to change with or without prior notice to the passengers or his/her agent. IHT does not accept liability for missed connections or any expenses resulting from an off-schedule, rescheduled or late flight operations.
PRICES:
Prices in this brochure are given in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices are correct at the time of going to press. In the event of any changes beyond IHT control, including but not limited to increase in government taxes or levies or significant changes in foreign exchange rates, IHT reserves the right to surcharge the passenger/s.
LIABILITY:
IHT is a tour operator and has made the advertised holiday arrangements with the airline/s, hotel/s, cruise ship/s, other operator/s, and other. Each of these organizations has its own specific terms and conditions for doing business and you will be bound by them. IHT accepts no responsibility for: (a) the acts or omissions of any party/ies other than IHT employees, (b) failure by the passenger to be properly documented, (c) failure by the passenger to comply with departure or joining or baggage requirements, (d) aircraft delays, government actions, acts of God or any factors beyond our direct control, (e) cancellation or delay to any tour or holiday or change to the tinerary, (f) expenses resulting from lost or damaged baggage. IHT reserves the right to refuse any person as a member of these tours at its own discretion. IHT reserves the right to cancel any or all departure/s with or without prior notice and IHT sole responsibility shall be to refund all monies paid for such canceled departures. The laws and courts which govern this contract are those of the Province of Ontario.
FORCE MAJEURE:
In no event shall the Agency be liable for any failure to perform its obligations or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay is due to events beyond its control which prevents the performance of its obligations, including without limitation, nuclear or environmental catastrophes; natural disasters and extreme weather conditions; war, invasion, or similar hostilities; rebellion, revolution, insurrection; riots or civil unrest; strikes, lockouts and labour action; acts or threats of terrorism; epidemic, pandemic, or spread of disease; Acts of State or governmental restrictions; and loss or prolonged interruption of necessary utilities, communications or computer services. The customer acknowledges that the Agency, on behalf of the customer and anyone for whom the customer requests the Agency make travel arrangements, will forward funds to independent third-party travel suppliers, and that once forwarded, these funds may not be recovered and/or refunded. Where a force majeure event has occurred, performance of the Agency’s obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event, and the Agency shall perform its obligations when it is possible to do so. In any event, the liability of the Agency arising out of force majeure event shall not exceed amounts paid directly by the customer or anyone for whom customer requests the Agency make travel arrangements, to the Agency, and the Agency shall not be liable for any consequential or indirect damages or legal costs incurred by any party. In such Force Majeure cases a cash refund might not be offered, however the Agency may opt to offer the customer a future travel credit for the value of the tour.
