10:30am Meet in the departure hall at Pearson airport Toronto, terminal 3, to check in for the EL AL flight to Tel Aviv. Leave Toronto at 1:30pm on a non-stop, direct overnight flight LY30 to Tel Aviv, meals served on board.

Day 2 ~ Monday WELCOME TO ISRAEL
7:15am Arrive at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport, clear immigration and customs and meet with your guide. Your introduction to the Land of Everlasting Promise starts at Naot Kedumim, the famous Biblical Botanical Gardens, which embodies the panorama and power of the land, the nature of which fashioned Judaism, early Christianity and early Islam, enriched the Bible and provided rich vocabulary for conveying exceptional monotheistic values. Continue to ancient Jaffa / Joppa of Jonah and the whale (Jonah 1) and Tabitha fame (Acts 9: 36 – 42) and view Andromeda’s rock in the ancient port as you walk through the colourful old city. Travel through the new city The Hill of Spring and along the coastal road en route to the beach side hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure.
1 night: Grand Beach hotel ~ Tel Aviv [Dinner]
Day 3 ~ Tuesday CAESAREA, MEGIDDO, BAPTISM IN THE JORDAN RIVER & GALILEE
Travel north, to visit Caesarea Maritima - built by King Herod the Great and boasting the largest port in the Mediterranean. Later the Roman capital, here Pontius Pilate had his seat; Cornelius was baptized (Acts 10); Paul embarked to Tarsus (Acts 9:30) and Philip preached (Acts 8:40). Continue north to the summit of Mt Carmel, where Elijah challenged the false prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:30). Then drive along the Jezreel Valley to Megiddo, to visit one of King Solomon’s fortified city kingdoms (1 Kings 9:15; 10:26), with 25 impressive levels of ruins. From here the Books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive, as you read about the final Battle at Armageddon. Proceed to Yardenit for Baptism in the Jordan River. Time permitting stop on Mt Arbel for a stunning view of the area of Jesus’ Ministry and the Sea of Galilee.
3 nights: Ein Gev or Maagan resort ~ Sea of Galilee [Breakfast/dinner]
Day 4 ~ Wednesday JEWELS OF JESUS MINISTRY IN GALILEE
Start the day on the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered “the Sermon on the Mount” (Matt.5). Continue to visit sites central to Jesus’ Ministry in the Galilee – starting at Chorazin, one of three villages Jesus prophesied over for not accepting his teaching; The Church of the Primacy of Peter in Tabgha; Kfar Nahum, Capernaum, centre of Jesus’ Ministry in the Galilee and site of many of his miracles (Mark 2:4; Matt.8:5; 14-7; 9; 1-7; 17: 18), where you see the remains of St Peter’s house and visit the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught and worshipped (Mark 1:21; Luke 4:31). Stop at Magdala, the village of Mary Magdalene, tour the new archeological discovery and the very synagogue that Mary Magdalene would have worshipped in. Sail on the Sea of Galilee, with time for meditation and prayer, then stop to visit the famous ancient fishing vessel from the time of Jesus and learn about its discovery.
Day 5 ~ Thursday GOLAN HEIGHTS & FINGER OF THE GALILEE
Drive onto the Golan Heights and stop to pay tribute to the handful of Israeli soldiers who kept the Syrian army at bay in one of the largest tank battels in the world during the 1973 Yom Kippur War, at the memorial in the Valley of Tears. View Kunietra, a Syrian command post during the 6 Day war (1967). View Kalat Nimrod, a fascinating fortress that for many hundreds of years guarded the route to Damascus, as you travel down the mountain into the “finger of the Galilee”. Stop at Banias to visit one of the sources of the Jordan River, site of ancient “Caesarea Philippi,” where Peter made his confession of faith in Christ (Matt. 16:16). Continue to ancient Dan, visit this fascinating site, including the Bronze age mud brick gate of Abraham’s fame (Genesis 14:14), the iron age gate and the temple Jeroboam built to worship the Golden calf.
Day 6 ~ Friday JORDAN VALLEY & DEAD SEA
Travel south, stop to visit Beit Shean, where the bodies of King Saul and his sons were placed on the walls by the Philistines (1 Samuel 31:10). Later known as Scythopolis, capital of Decapolis. Visit the impressive extensive Roman, Byzantine and Omayyad ruins. Drive down the Jordan Valley, where the desert now blooms with flowers and vegetation of every description (Isaiah 35:1-2). Stop at Qasr El Yahud, where John is said to have baptised Jesus. View Jericho, the oldest town in the world. Drive through the Judean desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth (over 1300 feet below sea level). Stop to visit Qumran, home of the Cult of the Judean Desert, where a shepherd boy discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls (1947) in a nearby cave. Continue south to Masada. Ascend by cable car to tour the imposing summit of King Herod the Great’s remote desert fortress, later the last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against Rome (73 AD).

Day 7 ~ Saturday DEAD SEA AT LEISURE OR OPTIONAL ARAVA TOUR
Get an early start, on an optional tour. Travel south through the Arava wilderness, to Timnah, where you visit Solomon’s pillars in the fascinating geological National Park and The Tabernacle in the Wilderness, an accurate replica of the biblical tabernacle (Exodus). Proceed to Kibbutz Keturah, to visit a Date Palm tree grown from a charred, 2000-year-old, Masada date palm seed. Continue north, time permitting, stop at the Vidor Centre, to learn about the Arava region, its uniquely advanced agriculture and the challenges. Cost per person $83. Mark yes to the optional tour on your Application. Or spend a day at leisure at the Dead Sea resort hotel, enjoy the spa facilities and float in the Dead Sea– you cannot sink!
Day 8 ~ Sunday JERUSALEM – OLD CITY
Travel north along the Dead Sea shoreline stop to visit Ein Gedi, an oasis in the desert, where David fled the wrath of King Saul (1Samuel 23: 3-7). Ascend through the Judean Desert on your way to Genesis Land where you visit with Abraham. Continue to Jerusalem of Gold. Stop on Mt Scopus to recite a Psalm of Ascent as the Galileans did with their first view of the Holy City, and visit an adjacent ancient tomb. Continue to Yad Vashem, national memorial and Museum of the Shoah (holocaust), Including: The Museum, the Children’s Memorial and the Avenue of the Righteous Amongst the Nations, commemorating those who at great personal risk saved Jewish souls. Pay tribute to the victims of the Shoah in Europe during the Second World War, including six million Jewish.

Day 9 ~ Monday ANCIENT LAYERED JERUSALEM
Start the day on the Mount of Olives, with a wonderful, panoramic view of Jerusalem, old and new. Following in the footsteps of Jesus and the disciples, stroll down the Mount of Olives to the Garden of Gethsemane, at the Church of All Nations, with time for contemplation and prayer in an adjacent Olive grove. Continue across the Kidron Valley (the Valley of Jehoshaphat) to visit King David’s City: including; the G area, the Canaanite tunnel and the Pool of Siloam. Continue to the Southern Wall Archaeological Park to visit excavations along the South Western Wall of the Temple Mount and stand on the very same stairs that Jesus might have used entering/exiting the House of The Lord.
Day 10 ~ Tuesday NEW JERUSALEM
Start the day in Bethlehem, visit to include: The Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus (circumstances permitting), Shepherd’s Field and shop at a local Christian Olive Wood factory / store. Stop on Mt Zion to visit the Upper Room (Room of the Last Super), King David’s tomb and St Peter Gallicantu, a Church built on the site of the High priest Caiaphas’s home. Continue to the Israel Museum, visit the first and second temple galleries, the Shrine of the Book, home of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest Bible manuscripts and the adjacent model of ancient Jerusalem, describing the city from the Second Temple Period, the time of Jesus. End the day at the Garden Tomb, with time for contemplation, prayer and communion.
Day 11 ~ Wednesday ANCIENT LAYERED JERUSALEM
Walk through the Jaffa Gate into the Old City. Visit the Roman, Byzantine, Crusader Street called the “Cardo,” with remarkable windows into the city’s layered past, and the Herodian mansions to get a glimpse of life from the time of Jesus, then continue down the “Upper Hill.” View the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque built on the Temple Mount. Visit the Western Wall, an important place of prayer and pilgrimage for the Jewish people. Then walk back in time through the Western Wall Tunnels under the city. Stop at the Pools of Bethesda and enjoy the splendid acoustics in St. Anne’s Church. Proceed along the Stations of the Cross through the “Suk,” the colourful bazaars, alleyways and market place to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Day 12 ~ Sunday RETURN TO CANADA
Transfer to Ben Gurion airport for your return flight to Canada. Leave Tel Aviv at 11am on the non-stop, direct EL AL flight LY 29 to Toronto, arriving at 3:45Pm. Meals served on board.
