1pm Meet in the departure hall, terminal 1 at Toronto’s Pearson airport, to check in for the Air Canada flight to Tel Aviv, Israel. 4:35pm Leave Toronto on a non-stop, direct, overnight Air Canada flight # AC80 to Tel Aviv, meals served on board.
WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Day 2 - Saturday
10am Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport, meet with your guide and travel north. Stop to visit Caesarea Maritima - the Roman capital built by King Herod the Great, boasting the largest port in the Mediterranean. Here Pontius Pilate had his seat; Cornelius lived and was baptized (Acts 10); Paul embarked to Tarsus (Acts 9:30) and Philip preached (Acts 8:40). Tour the historical site including: the theater, the Hippodrome, the new Roman exhibit in the Crusader City and the ancient city’s lifeline the historic aqueducts. 1 night: Ness Ammim hotel ~ Nahariya (Dinner)
JEWISH AND CHRISTIAN PRESENCE, IN GALILEE
Day 3 - Sunday
Drive through the upper Galilee to Safed, one of the 4 Jewish “City Kingdoms” and a major medieval Jewish centre. Enjoy a stroll through the quaint alleyways of this ancient city with an opportunity to visit many colourful synagogues and stores. Proceed to Nazareth, the boyhood town of Jesus, visit Nazareth Village to relive life from the time of Jesus and view the Church of the Annunciation. Stop at Yardenit for baptism in the Jordan River. (If you wish to be baptized, please inform Gillian email@example.com prior to departure from Canada). Continue to Magdala, the village of Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:1-3), where you visit the new archeological discovery. Visit the ancient boat from the time of Jesus and learn about its discovery at Gennasareth. End the day sailing on the Sea of Galilee, with time for contemplation and prayer.

JEWELS OF JESUS' MNISTRY IN, GALILEE
Day 4 - Monday
Visit sites central to Jesus’ Ministry – starting on the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered “The Sermon on the Mount” (Matt.5). Continue to Kfar Nahum, Capernaum centre of Jesus’ Ministry in the Galilee and the site of many of his miracles (Mark 2:4; Matt.8:5-17; 9:1-22). See the remains of St Peter’s mother in laws house and the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught and worshipped (Mark 1:21; Luke 4:31). Proceed to the Church of the Primacy of Peter in Tabgha. Enjoy a St Peter’s fish lunch. Travel to Dan of Biblical fame to visit this lush nature park, the largest source of the Jordan river; visit to include the Iron age gate and the Bronze age mud brick gate of Abraham’s fame (Genesis 14:14). Continue to Banias, visit another one of the sources of the Jordan River, site of ancient “Caesarea Philippi,” where Peter made his confession of faith in Christ (Matt. 16:16). (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)
Day 5 - Tuesday
Travel south along the Jordan Valley to the Allenby Bridge and cross into Jordan. Continue to Madaba to study the unique ancient Byzantine mosaic map of the world. Emulating the children of Israel and Moses, stop on Mt. Nebo for a glimpse of the Promised Land. Travel south through the Moab Mountains to Mukawir (Machaerus), a remote desert fortress that king Herod built, where Herod Antipas had a palace and beheaded John the Baptist. Continue south, time permitting stop at little Petra. 1 night: Petra Palace hotel ~ Petra (Breakfast & dinner)

Day 6 - Wednesday
Get an early start, walking and riding into the centre of the ancient Nabatean capital, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Enjoy the splendor of the “sik,” a unique colourful gorge, culminating with the first glimpse of the Hezna (The Treasury), a magnificent Mausoleum. See the stunning charm of the extensive Necropolis and the colourful hues of the sandstone. Mid-afternoon leave Petra travelling south on the Kings Way, then cross into Israel at the Arava terminal. Proceed via the Arava Valley to the lowest place on earth at the Dead Sea (417 meters below sea level).

THE DEAD SEA
Day 7 - Thursday
Spend the morning enjoying the spa facilities (some services are at an additional cost) and the unique experience ~ “float” in the Dead Sea, you cannot sink! Visit Masada, King Herod’s remote, looming desert fortress. Later the last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against Rome in 73 (ACE), ascend and descend by cable car. Travel north along the Dead Sea shore. View Ein Gedi Oasis where David fled the wrath of King Saul. Continue north, view Qumran where a Bedouin discoveredthe Dead Sea scrolls in a nearby cave. Ascend through the Judean wilderness to Genesis Land – meet with Abraham enjoy biblical hospitality. Continue to Jerusalem. Enjoy your first view of the Holy City and the Temple Mt from Mt Scopus and recite a Psalm of ascent. Pay respect to the victims of the Shoah, including 6 million Jews, at Yad Vashem, National Memorial and Museum of the Shoah (Holocaust). 5 nights: Jerusalem Gate hotel ~ Jerusalem (Breakfast & dinner)
DEAD SEA TO JERUSALEM
Day 8 - Friday
Explore the fascinating new ongoing excavations in David’s City including: Warren’s shaft, the Canaanite tunnel and the pool of Siloam. Continue into the Old City to visit the Southern wall archaeological Park and to stand on the original ancient steps, Jesus might have walked on, which led up to the Holy Temple. Enter the Old City, at Jaffa gate. Immerse yourself in the charm of the quaint cobble stone ancient alleyways while walking to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue exploring the Old City in the Jewish Quarter. Stops to include the many unique archaeological windows into the city’s layered past. Proceed through the Suk (market) and exit the Old City walking to the Garden Tomb. Remember the resurrection, with time for contemplation and communion. Travel to Bethlehem birth place of Christ, visit Shepherds Field and shop at an Olive wood factory. Consider visiting the Western Wall at sunset to witness the greeting of the Sabbath Bride. JERUSALEM THE HOLY CITY
Day 9 - Saturday
Start the day on the Mt of Olives for a spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem. Continue down the Mountain via Dominus Flevit to the Garden of Gethsemane at the Church of All Nations. With time for contemplation in the adjacent Olive Garden. Continue along the Kidron valley (the Valley of Jehoshaphat), past the Tombs of Absalom, Zechariah and James to Mt Zion. Visit the Upper Room (Room of the Last Supper), King David’s Tomb and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built on the site of High Priest Caiaphas’ home. Travel to the Israel Museum to visit the Model of Jerusalem that Jesus knew and the adjacent Shrine of the Book, home of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Proceed to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist. JERUSALEM OLD & NEW
Day 10 - Sunday
Get an early start. Enter the Old City, visit the Temple Mt. an artificial platform, built in Jesus’ day by Herod the Great, rising above the Kidron Valley to the east, the Tyropoeon Valley to the west, and dropping down to the Southern steps in the south. Stop at the Western Wall (Kotel), visit the important, sacred Jewish prayer and pilgrimage site. Then walk back in time through the Western Wall tunnels under the city enjoying some more unique windows into the city’s ancient layered past. Continue to the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed the paralytic man and enjoy the acoustics singing in St Anne’s Church. Continue along the Stations of the Cross to and through the Jewish quarter to visit the Herodian Mansions and the Temple Mt. Institute. End the day with another spectacular view of the city from the Haas Promenade and enjoy learning of the ancient aqueduct that, more than 2000 years ago, brought water to the Temple Mt. (Breakfast & dinner)

Day 11 - Monday
Spend the day at leisure in Jerusalem, with time to revisit places of interest or do some last minute shopping in the Old City. Visit the many fine Museums the City offers (modest entrance fee required).OR TAKE AN OPTIONAL TEL AVIV TOUR STARTING 12:30PM. COST $138 PER PERSON, minimum 17 participants.
