Day 1 – Sep 3

Late afternoon departure from Toronto to Sarajevo.

Day 2 – Sep 4

Afternoon arrival in Sarajevo. Transfer to Medjugorje for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Sep 5

Full day in Medjugorje. Time to visit the famous mountain of the Stations of the Cross, the Rosary Mountain and “Blue Cross”, a place of healings and graces. Mass, time for individual prayer, dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Sep 6

Another full day in Medjugorie, time for individual prayer and reflection. For those interested optional trip to Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful towns in the Mediterranean in Croatia. We visit the mediaeval old town surrounded by walls, we see Bell Tower, Pile Gate, Onofrio Fountain and Placa Stradun. Late afternoon return to our hotel in Medjugorje for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Sep 7

This morning we depart to Split to visit its fortress like complex of Diocletian’s Palace and beautiful old city. Afternoon flight takes us to Munich. Upon arrival transfer to our hotel in Salzburg for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Sep 8

After morning Mass a guided tour of the city will include views of the Residence, the Carillon, the Cathedral, the Franciscan Church, Mozart Square and city locations of “The Sound of Music”: Mirabell Gardens and Nonnberg Abbey. Afternoon we travel to Lake District to view other movie locations, such as Mondsee Cathedral, St. Gilden and Hellbrunn Castle. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Sep 9

Today we travel to Verona in Italy. En route we cross Brenner tunnel to Trento, site of the Council of Trent (1545–1563) where we visit the old city and Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral of Saint Vigilius. Dinner and overnight in Verona.

Day 8 – Sep 10

Full day in Verona and its surroundings. Our tour takes us to the historical centre, Piazza Bra and the Arena, the ancient churches of San Fermo and Sant’Anastasia, the Cathedral (Duomo) and balcony of Romeo and Juliet. Afternoon we visit the monastic complex of San Salvatore-Santa Giulia in nearby Brescia. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – Sep 11

Today we travel to Lake Como. En route we stop in Milan. Our tour of the city includes one of the city’s oldest churches, the Basilica of Sant’ Ambrogio. We visit imposing 14th century Duomo (Cathedral) and Corso Vittorio Emanuelle II. Continue to Lake Como for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Sep 12

This morning we embark on a boat tour of Lake Como, relax and reach favourite destinations on the lake such as Bellagio, Varenna or Como. We visit the island Isola Bella with grand palace and beautiful and shady gardens. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 11 – Sep 13

After breakfast we are transferred to the airport for our flight back to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.
