Day 1 – June 1
Late afternoon departure from Toronto to Zagreb.
Day 2 – June 2
Morning arrival in Zagreb. Transfer to Zadar. Free time to relax, dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – June 3
Today we travel to Medjugorje. Upon arrival we follow the path up the Apparition Hill where the visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Mass, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – June 4
Full day in Medjugorje. We visit and pray at “Blue Cross” which is a place of great healings and graces. Time to visit the Rosary Mountain. Mass, time for individual prayer, dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – June 5
This morning free time. After lunch we depart to Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful towns in the Mediterranean. We visit the mediaeval old town surrounded by walls, we see Bell Tower, Pile Gate, Onofrio Fountain and Placa Stradun. After dinner we board an overnight ferry to Bari in Italy.
Day 6 – June 6
Morning arrival in Bari. We visit the Basilica of St. Nicolas, containing relics of St. Nicolas. Continue to Monte de San Angelo, the oldest shrine in Europe dedicated to the archangel Michael. Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo.
Day 7 – June 7
Full day in San Giovanni Rotondo. We start our day with Mass at the Church where Padre Pio said Mass most of his days, and then we visit His tomb and the museum. In the afternoon free time for rest and individual prayers, dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – June 8
After morning Mass we travel to Pompeii, site of catastrophic volcano eruption in 79 AD. Continue to Salerno where we visit tomb of St. Matthew in city’s Duomo. Dinner and overnight in Salerno on the Gulf of Naples.
Day 9 – June 9
Full day excursion to the enchanting Island of Capri. We enjoy a walking tour in Capri Town, where we see across the sea the Faraglioni rocks and Marina Piccola, then have some free time to further explore the island. Later cruise back to spectacular Sorrento. Mass and return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 10 – June 10
Full day panoramic drive through the beautiful Amalfi Coast, including breath-taking vistas of Belvedere viewpoint and visit to Amalfi Duomo featuring relics of St. Andrew the Apostle. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 11 – June 11
Today we travel to Rome. En route we stop in Monte Cassino, site of the oldest Benedictine monastery in Italy and witness of one of the fiercest battles of the WWII. Continue to Rome. Upon arrival we visit St. Peter’s Basilica (time permitting). Dinner and overnight.
Day 12 – June 12
Full day in Rome. Our tour of Rome takes us to the Basilica of St. Paul’s in Chains, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, view the Coliseum, Forum Romanum and Trevi fountain. Continue to the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and Tre Fontane Abbey, site of martyrdom of St. Paul. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 13 – June 13
After breakfast we are transferred to the airport for a flight back to Toronto.
