Day 1 – Sep 9
Evening departure from Toronto to Paris.
Day 2 – Sep 10
Morning arrival in Paris. Transfer by motor coach to Mont St. Michel. Time to rest, dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – Sep 11
Today we tour the ancient strategic fortifications of this island-town, the monastery and medieval buildings. Continue to Lisieux, city of St. Thérèse, “The Little Flower”. En route we visit Juno Beach commemorating Canadian landing on the D-Day. Upon arrival in Lisieux dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Sep 12
This morning we visit of the Basilica dedicated to St. Therese as well as the house and convent of St. Therese. Afternoon we visit a picturesque town of Hofleur where we visit 15th-century St. Catherine’s Church. Return to Lisieux for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – Sep 13
After breakfast we depart to Paris. Afternoon’s sightseeing tour of the city includes views of Eiffel Tower, Place de La Concorde, Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées. We visit Notre Dame Cathedral and Miraculous Medal chapel where we celebrate Mass.
Day 6 – Sep 14
Today we visit to Sacre-Coeur Church and enjoy some free time in Montmartre, charming village famous for many artist that lived there in XIX century. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Pau. Upon arrival we are transferred to our hotel in Lourdes. Mass, dinner, procession with candles and overnight.
Day 7 – Sep 15
Full day in Lourdes. Time to visit the Grotto and the basilicas. We will have Mass and The Way of The Cross, visit Boly Mill, the birthplace of St Bernadette and the Cachot where the family lived. Time for individual prayer and bath, dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – Sep 16
This morning we travel to Burgos in Spain. En route we stop in Loyola, the birthplace of St. Ignatius Loyola and visit the Jesuit Basilica. Continue to Burgos. Upon arrival we visit its old city and magnificent Gothic cathedral from 13th century. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 – Sep 17
After breakfast we travel to Salamanca. En route we stop in Avila, the city of St. Teresa and St. John of the Cross. We visit the Cathedral and Convent of St. Teresa containing her relics where we celebrate Mass. Continue to nearby town of Alba de Tormes where we visit convent of the Anunciación, founded by St. Teresa where she died in 1582 and is buried. Dinner and overnight in Salamanca.
Day 10 – Sep 18
This morning time for pleasurable stroll through mediaeval streets of Salamanca and its splendid Plaza Mayor, university founded in 1218, La Casa de las Conchas and the cathedrals. Later we travel to Fatima in Portugal. Upon arrival dinner, rosary procession and overnight.
Day 11 – Sep 19
Full day in Fatima. Mass, visit the site of apparitions, the old and the new basilica. We also visit the houses of the children in adjoining Aljustrel, Fatima parish church and cemetery. Some free time for individual prayers, dinner, procession with candles and overnight.
Day 12 – Sep 20
Today we travel to Lisbon, capital city of Portugal. En route we stop in Santarem and visit the Church of the Holy Miracle, site of 13th century eucharistic miracle. Upon arrival in Lisbon our panoramic tour of the city will take us to views of landmark medieval Belém Tower, city square of Praça do Império and Jerónimos Monastery. We also visit St. Anthony’s church and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight.
Day 13 – Sep 21
Early morning we are transferred to the airport for our flight back to Toronto via Paris
