Day 1 – Oct 7

Afternoon departure from Toronto to Lisbon.

Day 2 – Oct 8

Noon arrival in Lisbon in Portugal. Upon arrival we travel to Fatima to our hotel, some time for rest, Mass, dinner, rosary procession with candles and overnight.

Day 3 – Oct 9

Full day in Fatima. Mass, visit the site of apparitions, the old and the new basilica. We also visit the houses of the children, have some free time for individual prayers, dinner, rosary procession with candles and overnight.

Day 4 – Oct 10

After morning Mass we travel to university town of Salamanca in Spain. Upon arrival time for pleasurable stroll through mediaeval streets of Salamanca and its splendid Plaza Mayor and university founded in 1218. Free time for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Oct 11

After breakfast we travel to Toledo, the “Imperial City” of Spain, which attracts more sightseers than any other Spanish town. En route we visit nearby town of Alba de Tormes where we visit convent of the Anunciación, founded by St. Teresa where she died in 1582 and is buried. After lunch we continue to Avila, the city of St. Theresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross where we stop for Mass and visit the Convent of St. Teresa containing her relics. Continue to Toledo for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Oct 12

Today we travel to Madrid for sightseeing tour which takes us to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Espana with its monument to Cervantes, Celebes fountain, elegant Calla Alcala and Paseo Castellana. We also view the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Return to Toledo to visit the Old City, Moorish bridge and 13th century Cathedral, where we celebrate Mass. Free time for leisure, dinner and overnight in Toledo.

Day 7 – Oct 13

After breakfast we travel to Burgos, the historic capital of Castile. Upon arrival we explore its old city and magnificent Gothic cathedral. Mass, dinner and overnight in Burgos.

Day 8 – Oct 14

Today we travel to Lourdes in France. En route we stop in Loyola, the birthplace of St. Ignatius Loyola where we visit the Jesuit Basilica. Upon arrival in Lourdes Mass, dinner, rosary procession with candles and overnight.

Day 9 – Oct 15

Full day in Lourdes. Time to visit the Grotto and the Basilicas. We have Mass and The Way of The Cross, time for individual prayer and bath, dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Oct 16

After morning Mass we travel to Barcelona. En route we visit Carcassonne (time permitting) to visit its beautifully preserved medieval fortified town with its massive defences encircling the castle. Continue to Barcelona for dinner and overnight.

Day 11 – Oct 17

Full day in Barcelona. In the morning we the visit enchanting Benedictine monastery in Montserrat and the Black Madonna of Montserrat. After lunch our tour of Barcelona features the Columbus Monument, elegant tree lined “Ramblas”, Plaza de Catalonia, Paseo de Gracia and the famous church of Sagrada Familia where we celebrate Mass. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 – Oct 18

After breakfast we are transferred to the airport for our flight back to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.
