Day 1 – June 12
Evening departure from Toronto to Munich.
Day 2 – June 13
Morning arrival in Munich. Panoramic tour of Munich then continue to Oberammergau. Time for rest, Mass, dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – June 14
Morning Mass then we have some free time to enjoy picturesque village of Oberammergau. In the afternoon and evening we participate in the Passion Play performed every 10 years in this small town. This wonderful spectacle of pageantry takes place outdoors where the sky and mountains are the back drop, world renown for the costumes and music presentation, performed by more than 2,000 citizens. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – June 15
Today we travel to Prague, the capital of Czech Republic, the “Golden City”. En route we stop in Altotting a small Bavarian town famous for Chapel of Grace, one of the most visited shrines in Germany known as the Lourdes of Germany. Mass, continue to Prague for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – June 16
Full day in beautiful Prague. We visit the Church of Our Lady of Victory and see the renowned statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague where we will have Mass. We visit the Old Town by the way of Golden Lane and then go to the Lesser Town to see the medieval Charles Bridge. We also see St. Nikolas Church, the Astronomic Clock, Wenceslas Square and the Castle District with St. Vitus Cathedral and St. George’s Basilica. Some free time in the afternoon for shopping and rest. Dinner and overnight in Prague.
Day 6 – June 17
This morning we travel to Krakow in Poland. En route we visit Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi concentration camp. We visit a cell in which St. Maximilian Kolbe died and also the Martyrdom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust. Dinner and overnight in Krakow. Mass will be celebrated in Krakow.
Day 7 – June 18
Today we visit Lagiewniki – world known as “Divine Mercy Shrine”. This is where St. Faustyna had had numerous visions of Christ, who told her to keep a diary of their encounters, during which he spoke to her of the Divine Mercy. Mass, then we visit the convent of St. Faustyna, her tomb and relics. Later we visit St. John Paul II Sanctuary commemorating Poland’s most famous son. We also visit Wadowice the birthplace of Saint John Paul II. Some free time for individual prayer before returning to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – June 19
This morning we visit the world-famous salt mines in Wieliczka, one of the oldest salt mines in Europe, beautifully decorated with hand carved salt sculptures. We celebrate Mass underground. After lunch we explore Krakow’s Old Town. We visit the Market Square where we hear the silver trumpet of the bugler form the tower of St. Mary’s Church. Many of the buildings in the Old Town are over 700 years old and include marvels such as the Town Hall Tower, the Cloth Hall and most of all the Wawel Royal Castle. Some free time for leisure before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 – June 20
After breakfast we leave to Plock in central Poland. En route we visit Czestochowa – the site of Poland’s greatest shrine – Our Lady of Czestochowa, also known as the “Black Madonna”, a pilgrimage destination that goes back to the 14th century. We celebrate Mass and venerate the priceless and miraculous icon. Next stop is in Swinice Warckie where we visit St. Faustina birth place and a church turned Basilica, where she was baptized. Continue to Plock, the place where the great prophetic mission of St. Faustina began. Dinner and overnight.
Day 10 – June 21
After Mass in the Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Plock we travel to Warsaw, capital of Poland. En route we visit the Franciscan monastery in Niepokalanow, established by St. Maximilian Kolbe. Upon arrival some free time for leisure, dinner and overnight.
Day 11 – June 22
This morning we embark on a sightseeing tour of Warsaw that includes St. Stanislaus Kostka church, commemorating martyrdom of Bl. Jerzy Popieluszko, (where we celebrate Mass) the Old Town, view of the Royal Palace and Barbican. Afternoon we travel to Bialystok for dinner and overnight.
Day 12 – June 23
Today we visit some places related to Bl. Michał Sopoćko, the spiritual director of St. Faustina and first promoter of the Divine Mercy message. We celebrate Mass in Divine Mercy Sanctuary, where his remains are buried. Continue to Vilnius, capital city of Lithuania for dinner and overnight.
Day 13 – June 24
Full day in beautiful Vilnius. We visit the Old Town, Gediminias Castle, classicist Cathedral, The Gates of Dawn, world famous and the most visited shrine in Vilnius, containing the painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy. Continue to the Holy Trinity Church, dedicated to Divine Mercy and St. Faustina Kowalska, where the original image of the Divine Mercy Jesus is located. Mass, dinner and overnight.
Day 14 – June 25
After breakfast we are transferred to the airport in Vilnius for a flight back to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.
