Day 1 – Aug 19, 2018

Late afternoon departure from Toronto to Barcelona.

Day 2 – Aug 20, 2018

Noon arrival in Barcelona. Upon arrival we travel to Girona, an ancient Catalonian city where we admire its mediaeval Cathedral and fortifications. Some time for rest, dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Aug 21, 2018

This morning we depart to Carcassonne in France. Our tour of this medieval fortified town includes its massive defences encircling the castle, the surrounding buildings and its fine Gothic cathedral. Continue to the episcopal city of Albi where we visit ancient Cathedral Sainte-Cécile. Dinner and overnight in Toulouse.

Day 4 – Aug 22, 2018

After breakfast we to visit the Eglise des Jacobins in Toulouse where St. Thomas Aquinas is buried. We celebrate Mass there and continue to Lourdes. Upon arrival some free time, dinner, procession with candles and overnight.

Day 5 – Aug 23, 2018

Full day in Lourdes. Time to visit the Grotto and the Basilicas. We will have Mass and The Way of The Cross, time for individual prayer and bath, dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Aug 24, 2018

After morning Mass we leave through Pyrenees to Spanish province of Aragon and its capital – Zaragoza. En route we stop in Torreciudad – Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Aragon. The shrine goes back to the 11th century and in 1975 was rebuilt by St. Josemaria Escriva. We will celebrate Mass there. Continue to Zaragoza for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Aug 25, 2018

After breakfast we visit the Basilica dedicated to Our Lady Of The Pillar. After Mass and some free time we travel to an enchanting Benedictine monastery in Montserrat and the Black Madonna of Montserrat. Continue to Barcelona for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 – Aug 26, 2018

Today we travel to Tarragona, one of the oldest cities in Spain, dated back to 5th century BC. We visit its magnificent Cathedral and Roman walls and aqueducts. Continue to Monastery of Santa Maria de Santes Creus and visit a monumental complex of Cistercian monastery. Return to Barcelona for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – Aug 27, 2018

Another day in Barcelona. Our tour of Barcelona features the Columbus Monument, elegant tree lined “Ramblas” and Plaza de Catalonia, Paseo de Gracia and the famous church of Sagrada Familia where we celebrate Mass. Afternoon some free time for leisure. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Aug 28, 2018

After breakfast we are transferred to the airport for our flight back to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.
