Day 1 – May 30, 2017
Morning departure from Toronto to Barcelona.
Day 2 – May 31, 2017
Morning arrival in Barcelona. Panoramic tour of the city, time for lunch, transfer to our hotel, some time for rest, dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – June 1, 2017
Full day in Barcelona. In the morning we the visit enchanting Benedictine monastery in Montserrat and the Black Madonna of Montserrat. After lunch our tour of Barcelona features the Columbus Monument, elegant tree lined “Ramblas” and Plaza de Catalonia, Paseo de Gracia, the famous church of Sagrada Familia and the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – June 2, 2017
After breakfast we travel to Lourdes in France. Upon arrival Mass, some free time, dinner, procession with candles and overnight.
Day 5 – June 3, 2017
Full day in Lourdes. Time to visit the Grotto and the Basilicas. We will have Mass and The Way of The Cross, time for individual prayer and bath, dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – June 4, 2017
After morning Mass we leave through Pyrenees to Spain and its capital of Madrid. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 – June 5, 2017
Morning sightseeing tour of Madrid takes us to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Espana with Cervantes monument, Celebes fountain, elegant Calla Alcala and Paseo Castellana. We also view the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. In the afternoon excursion to Toledo. Situated on a granite hill surrounded on three sides by river Tagus, the ancient capital of Castille attracts more sightseers than any other Spanish town. We visit the 13th century Cathedral, where we celebrate Mass, and Moorish bridge. Return to Madrid for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – June 6, 2017
From Madrid we travel to university town of Salamanca. En route visit Avila, the city of St. Theresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. After Mass in Avila we depart to Salamanca. Time for pleasurable stroll through mediaeval streets of Salamanca and its splendid Plaza Mayor and university founded in 1218. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 – June 7, 2017
This morning we move to Santiago de Compostella, the burial place of St. James and major pilgrimage destination since Middle Ages. We visit the Cathedral dedicated to St. James and the Old City. Dinner and overnight.
Day 10 – June 8, 2017
Today we cross the border to Portugal and travel to Fatima. En route we stop in Santarem and visit the Church of the Holy Miracle, home to a 13th-century eucharistic miracle. Continue to Fatima for dinner, procession with candles and overnight.
Day 11 – June 9, 2017
Full day in Fatima. Mass, visit the site of apparitions, the old and the new basilica. We also visit the houses of the children, have some free time for individual prayers, dinner, procession with candles and overnight.
Day 12 – June 10, 2017
After breakfast we are transferred to the airport in Lisbon for our flight back to Toronto. Afternoon arrival.
