3:25pm Meet in Montreal airport at the Air France counter to check in for your 6:25pm flight to Paris (meals served en route).
Day 2 ~ February 19, Monday – ARRIVE IN ISRAEL
Arrive in Paris at 7:15am depart for Tel Aviv at 10:40am arriving in Tel Aviv at 4:10pm. After clearing customs meet with your guide and driver. Travel in an air conditioned bus to Jaffa (Joppa) where Peter stayed with Simon the Tanner (Acts 9:43, 10:9-23). See the harbor on the beautiful Mediterranean Sea from where Jonah boarded a ship to run away from God (Jonah 1:1). Check into the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure to recoup from the flight. 1 night Grand Beach hotel Tel Aviv. [Dinner]
Day 3 ~ February 20, Tuesday – CARMEL / GALILEE
Drive north along the Mediterranean Coast to Caesarea, where Paul defended himself before Festus and King Agrippa (Acts 25:6-26:32) and Cornelius was baptized by Peter (Acts 10:1- 48). Continue north, view Mt Carmel where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:1-46). Travel along the Jezreel Valley to Megiddo, the fortress city of King Solomon (1 Kings 9:15; 10:26), with its impressive ruins of 21 levels of destruction. View the fertile plains of the Jezreel Valley, where the future Battle of Armageddon will take place. (Revelation 16:12-16). Travel to Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus to view the Church of Annunciation where Gabriel told Mary she would give birth to Jesus (Luke 11:26-38). Visit Nazareth Village, which portrays village life as it would have been in the time of Jesus. Day 4 ~ February 21, Wednesday – GALILEE
Begin the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Stop to visit the 2000-year-old ancient “Jesus Boat”, discovered in 1986. Visit sites central to Jesus’ ministry around the Sea of Galilee including Capernaum, where Jesus chose to center his ministry (Luke 4:16-32) and the Mount of Beatitudes where He delivered His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). Enjoy a St. Peter’s fish meal. Travel to Mt Tabor to visit the church of the Transfiguration. End the day at Yardenit for a baptismal service in the Jordan River. (Matthew 3:13-17). Day 5 ~ February 22, Thursday – GOLAN HEIGHTS
Travel north to Dan to visit the ancient biblical site where Jeroboam set up his golden calves for Israel to worship (1 Kings 12:25-30) and the 4000-year-old mud brick gate that Abraham might have used to enter the city (Genesis 14:14). Continue to Caesarea Philippi, visit the site where Jesus asked, “Who do men say I am?” (Matthew 16:13-20). Travel onto the Golan Heights stop at Mount Bental to see the outstanding beauty of the Golan Heights. Travel to Mount Arbel to view the beauty of the area of Jesus’ ministry in Galilee from the looming cliffs. [Breakfast / dinner]
Day 6 ~ February 23, Friday – GALILEE / JERUSALEM
Travel along the Jordan Valley to Beth Shan where the Philistines placed the bodies of King Saul and his sons on the city walls (1 Samuel 31:10). Enjoy a scenic drive down the Jordan Valley through the desert which now blooms with flowers and vegetation of every description (Isaiah 35:1-2). Continue to Jerusalem, stopping on Mount Scopus for your first view of Jerusalem. End the day in Bethlehem, visiting Rachel’s tomb, continue to the Church of the Nativity the birthplace of Jesus and view Shepherds Field. 5 nights Dan Boutique hotel Jerusalem [Breakfast / dinner]
Day 7 ~ February 24, Saturday – DEAD SEA
Enter the Old City of Jerusalem through Lion’s Gate. Visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed the paralytic man (John 5:1-15) and sing in the perfect acoustics of the Church of St. Ann. Descend via the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth (1200 feet below sea level). Visit Qumran where a shepherd boy discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 in a nearby cave. Continue south to Masada, tour the impressive ruins of King Herod the Great’s mountaintop fortress, later the last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against the Romans in 73 AD. Visit the oasis at Ein Gedi – where David hid from the wrath of King Saul (I Samuel 23:29). Spend the rest of the afternoon swimming at the Dead Sea. Enjoy this unique experience of “floating” in the water: you cannot sink! [Breakfast/dinner]
Day 8 ~ February 25, Sunday – JERUSALEM
Stop on the Mt of Olives (Acts 1:9-12) for a wonderful view of old and new Jerusalem. Following the route of Jesus’s Palm Sunday entrance into Jerusalem (Luke 19:28-40), walk down the mountainside. Stop at Dominus Flevit, a church which commemorates the site where Jesus wept over Jerusalem (Luke 19:41-44). Then continue down to spend some time in an olive grove called Gethsemane, where Jesus spent the night in prayer and was betrayed by Judas. (Matthew 26:36-46). Pay tribute to the victims of the Shoah at Yad Vashem, National Memorial and Museum of the Holocaust. Continue to the Israel Museum to visit the Model City of Jerusalem, describing the city in Jesus’ day and to visit the Shrine of the Book, Home of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Enjoy a walk through the Old City alleys and colorful markets to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. [Breakfast/dinner]
Day 9 ~ February 26, Monday – JERUSALEM
Begin the day exploring the fascinating ongoing excavations in the City of David (2 Samuel 5:6-10). Weather permitting, walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel (2 Kings 20:20) to the Pool of Siloam (John 9:1-11). Enter the Old City visit the Southern Wall, stand on the steps Jesus used to enter and exit the House of the Lord. Stop to visit the Western Wall. Visit the Temple Mount Institute to witness the meticulous preparations for renewing of the House of the Lord. Continue through the Old City to the Cardo (Main Street from 2000 years ago), see the Broad Wall built by Hezekiah (Isaiah 22:9-11, Nehemiah 3:8). Proceed to Mt Zion to visit King David’s Tomb (Acts 2:29), visit the Upper Room where Jesus had His final Passover with His disciples (Luke 22:7-38). Then retrace your steps to the House of the High Priest Caiaphas at the church called St. Peter in Gallicantu, where Jesus was tried by the Sanhedrin and imprisoned for a night (Matthew 26:57-75, John 18:12-14). There you can see the ancient stairs Jesus might have walked on after His arrest in Gethsemane. Visit Golgotha and the Garden Tomb where many scholars believe Jesus was crucified (Luke 23:26-49). Day 11 ~ February 28, Wednesday – RETURN TO CANADA
Check out of the hotel is at 3am Air France and after an early morning coffee in the hotel transfer to the airport for the return flight. Leave Tel Aviv at 7:45am flying Air France to Paris arriving at 11:40am. Continue on the flight to Montreal at 4pm arriving at 5:50pm meals served on board.

Day 10 ~ February 27, Tuesday – WADI MUJIB / KERAK
Travel through the Judean desert to the Allenby Bridge, cross into Jordan and meet your guide. Travel along the shores of the Dead Sea stop for a short walk at Wadi el Mujib one of the small rivers flowing into the Dead Sea. Proceed to the desert fortress at Kerak. Travel south and stop to visit little Petra. Overnight Petra Palace hotel 2 nights [Breakfast & dinner]
Day 11 ~ February 28, Wednesday – PETRA
Enjoy a full day in Petra the Red Rock one of the seven wonders of the ancient world visiting the lost Nabatean necropolis. Start with an easy horseback ride; continue on foot through the “Siq” a narrow immense colourful canyon, which ends at the famous treasury. Visit the many ancient temples, tombs, and the roman theatre. [Breakfast & dinner]
Day 12 ~ March 1, Thursday – MADABA / JERUSALEM
Travel north to Madaba visit the famous ancient Byzantine Mosaic map of the world. Continue to Mt. Nebo where emulating Moses you will view the Promised Land. Like Joshua and the children of Israel cross back into Israel opposite Jericho at the Allenby Bridge and proceed to Jerusalem.
